acutane and bodybuilding was created by manery
morning gents, i have had acne for about 4 years now (mostly on my back) but after juicing it has flared up alot (face chest back).

I have tried a few anti biotics and I'm currently trying tetralysal. these anti biotics work to a certain degree, but aren't getting the job done. I want to start a course of acutane for 5 months starting in may next year after my cycle and just wanted to know what complications i could run into while training/dieting etc? any input on the subject of ance and acutane in general is welcome.

thanks.

Severe Accutane side effects range from chronic bowel disorders like Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, to suicidal tendencies and even birth defects.

So, don't fall pregnant!! ;)
From what I hear it works well but has and can have some bad sides.
Not to good on the liver either. My dr would only prescribe it to me with regular liver tests...

Acutane is the most powerful treatment for acne and the side effects are severe. My gf's brother also used it, ended up in hospital. Expect dry lips, dry eyes, nose bleeding, hair loss and not being able to be in the sun.

I also have acne problems, but not SO severe. Doctor put me on an antibiotic called Purbac DS 960mg and it's done wonders. Cleared up all my acne and started seeing results after two weeks. Problem is it doesn't cure acne, just treats it. Acutane cures acne

If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you

My brother was on roaccutane for a year years when he was about 19 and his side effects were terrible but it did get rid of his acne which was really bad. He reckons it messed up his liver. His liver enzymes were dangerously high. He got nose bleeds and was also constantly exhausted and as a provincial athlete his performance was affected. He was on a high dose but it cured his acne permanently.

If you don't have cystic acne you can probably use a low dose to clear up your skin, and best to start at a low dose anyway like 20mg and see how that works and then slowly up the dose until it starts working for you. Accutane will only cure acne permanently if you do a proper high dose 80-120mg a day cycle to nuke your zits for at least 4-6 months and even then there is no guarantee because many guys still do get acne again.

Thanks for the replys guys. I know how dangerous acutane is, but its my last resort, ive got untill may to think about it. Whats the point of training to look good if i cant even take my shirt off. My biggest concern is back pain, dry joints and possibly unable to train.

I was on Accutane after 6 month a few other products that were supposed to work. A few issues I had was very dry skin(moisturiser did the trick), Very very high body temperature. I had that checked out and my internal body temperature was fine but it felt like summer in the winter for me. Sleeping under nothing in the winter sure gave some people a scare hahaha and lastly was the sun 30 mins to 1 hour max with sunscreen otherwise you could burn blisters. But after that treatment it all went away and never have I had any problem again save for the occasional pimple or two
