Hi thanks for the reply, i have a Any tone 2 way radio, 16 channel, and a SCMY 3117, bothe 16 channel, but they dont want to com between them, boths on c 1 2 or 3 etc, bout nothing, any advice? Thankx

At work I find batteries to be the biggest problem. Are they new or old and recently started giving problems? Do they beep constantly/ when you use the PPT? Are they (at least one) transmitting for certain? Are the different channels between the radios using the same frequencies?

The thing is know nothing about radios, I got the one radio about a week ago, and the other one a few days ago, now on the one radio, I can hear the community, but the scmy one I got the weekend I can't here them, and the two radios don't com, but then on one channel the scmy one I can hear ppl talking that I can't hear with the other one, I just want my new one to be set in with the community like my 1st one, how do I do this? Thanks a mil!!!!

Do you have an ICASA licence for the frequency they operate on?

I'm not familiar with those two radios, but it's possible they work on different bands and therefor receive different signals and cannot communicate.

No none of them/us have a license, its just for some of us in our comunity to comunicate, but the new radio i got has got the same specs as the first one.

Can you set the frequency/channel yourself on the radio?

I'm pretty sure you will have to take it to a radio shop to get programmed. I don't think these radios need ICASA licenses, but just make sure to avoid getting a fine.

Anyone know where u can buy 2 way radio accessories online, like antennas etc, all i find is guys selling only there brands of radios?
