So I'm looking to get another tat. Who's the best artist in JHB? I don't want to just go to some punk ,my other piece I had done in th UK so i dont no anyone here and I see there's a tattoo shop in every corner now.

I'm looking at getting quite a big tribal piece on my shoulder and and back. And I'd rather pay and no I'm going to get something really nice. My wife wants to get my sons name so both will be just black.

I see you listed jaded ink. They really good bro, when I was up in Jhb I went the the one in four ways,. Pricey, but one of the best pieces I have, very very worth it.

+1 on Jaded Ink, they are good.
If you in the Randburg area go see Kevin's Custom Tattoo's
If you are near Clearwater Mall in the West Rand go check out Salvation Ink

My favourite and best quality Tat was done at Kevin's when they were still at the old Randburg Waterfront.

Hi Ian, Jakes, Superior Tatoos in the east rand mall has some serious skill and is a perfectionist. He has issues with tribal etc as he claims it not art but he will still do it for you. I have had two done with him and one of them was 14yrs back, still looks perfect and great definition/ fine lining. He also lifts some iron so he has a heavy arm, it will be a bit more painful then usual. Cheers

Superior in East rand mall is hectic expensive, since they have to rent space in a mall i can understand, but can get equal or better work at better price at lots of places

Thanks Fillet I live in Rynfield so that's quite close. Money and traveling are not an issue I just want the best piece possible.

Sure bro, at least go and check his work - very neat. Forgot to mention that my wife also got two done by him, one of the wrist and the other on her back. Nicely done. Normally with Jakes he hits you a decent fee for the first one but as he gets to know you he is easy on the price but you paying for an artist.

To me a good artist must be able to work without an example. You must provide an idea and they need to do the design.
