At least the Rand is still better than the R13,84 per dollar it briefly sank to in 2001. Hopefully it will recover, but unless the government concentrate more on the economy and less on job creation we are heading for seriously hard times.

All this job creation talk is the biggest crap I've ever heard, job creation is the easiest thing in the world to accomplish, for example you can hire a thousand people to each dig a hole and then another thousand to close it again and then you created 2000 jobs. But unless you have industries to feed the economy all the jobs in the world mean shit.

I see it all the time, everyone strikes for a job and salary increase but how the industry manages to keep up is their problem. Like Robert Mugabe once said; Money is not a problem, we'll just print more..."

over the last 6 months I have really been thinking about all of this over and over again...
In my mind most of the socio-economic issues comes down to the fact that people are allowed to breed at free will... you can be dirt poor and earn zilch in a year... but have 3 to 5 children... its a crime....

Unions keep striking with demands that mines and industry just can afford, you'd have to be a fool if you were an investor to invest in this country.
Soon the platinum mines will close and Debeers are already choosing Bots over us as the work force is reliable government actually Helps them... and diamonds are far more easily mind there.
And now I hear that e tolls is going national to pay for the last 20years of neglect(we have to pull more money out of our arses because the gravy train is running dry) and never mind Eskom.

It looks bleak

To sweeten things up a bit our transport minister has announced that the future for this country is going to be nationwide tolling. SA is seriously starting to look like France just before the revolution started. People were taxed and tolled to death and the economy collapsed.

You are right and we know very well that SA will be the next Zimbabwe, but all you can do about it is vote correctly and hope that enough people do the same, but that will never happen because the majority are still blindly following the ANC and they will continue to do so, because the youth and lower class citizens are too easily manipulated.

I highly doubt that the ANC will win another 2 elections. Yes Zuma must win the next one because to much was invested in him. They will follow a *soft* process of elimination to get rid of him eventually.

What makes you think the ANC is on their way out? They did loose ground at the last election, but that was because of Cope I believe.

No thanks, I really do not want to become president...

If working on body and character doesnt cost you something its woth noting. If criticism is all that proceed out of your mouth then know that is how you feel about yourself and depicts the health of your soul.

Interesting to see in Germany is that every mayor/politician/president have the credentials Prof. Dr. as opposed to Malema who has achieved grade 9 and couldn“t manage woodwork class.
