Training abroad was created by Kkkyle
So things I have noticed about training abroad.

I recently moved up to the UK. Scotland to be exact.

The guys around here are generally skinny and not to interested in muscle building or anything needing physical effort besides lifting a beer mug. The ones who do train are mostly just there doing a bit of cardio and maybe a bit of machines.

So it was quite unusual for me to feel like one of the people on the bigger side compared to feeling smaller in SA haha.

In terms of weights the gyms free weight sections are at most pitiful... I have managed to find a gym that is focused on bodybuilding and thus it has the "best" free weight section I have come across. Still nothing compared to gyms back home.

Supplement stores are non existent so I'm gonna have to be ordering online...

Now just to find a grocer that supplies other "goods"

Pyro seems to be having a similar experience in Germany maybe he could share. Anyone else from abroad may add to

Love the buuuuuuuuuuuuuurn!

Hey bud feel your pain hey! My gym has a rule that you are not allowed to bring anything to drink so I have to buy their expensive-as-hell water for 80c a glass! Roughly R10 for 500ml. I don´t know about Scotland but I do know that steroids are massive in England!

Talking from experience ... Bud I'm sure u have mates in London right ?? Travel down for the day on a cheap rail ticket and sort yourself out this side ... Get as much as you can to make it worth while .. The beauty of it all is the possession of gear is legal in the uk so I don't have to worry .. For supplements myprotein.co uk is by far the best and cheapest !!!

Zim I have no friends in London, won't you be my friend ;)

I found a website called maxiraw.com they sell whey pretty cheap. 27 quid for 2.something kgs of whey concentrate unflavoured.

Pyro that's pretty rough. I'd be broke after a weeks gyming at that price! Try sneak a camel back in :silly:

On the plus side, there are no more than 2 people in the weights section at any given time (normally zero) so it´s like having my own gym. Gonna try singing aloud to every song on my phone and see if anyone notices! B) #feellikeaceleb

Haha you can't convert back to rands bud. You will never be happy spending money this side then.

If I had to convert the price of chicken to rands I'd be paying about R155 for 1.2kg chicken boobs.

As for the empty weights sections I love it!

I get my whey for 19.90€ per kg. It´s 20% Egg protein, 20% Whey Protein, and 60% Cassein Protein. Tastes pretty good! 1g Carbs per 30g Serving.

Mr Kyle an update for you. I decided to take the plunge and order supps from Bodybuilding.com. Delivery fee was a quarter of the price of South Africa and the supps were at the border post within two weeks. Everything still intact. As things stand I think I am going to make use of their services from now on.

Haha yea very few guys here train legs to. It also seems that they don't do much triceps training either. Okes with huge biceps and no triceps. Looks shite.

Hopefully I can get bloods done on the NHS, will save me a lot of money.
