Anyone here have experience with Mud Terrain tyres? I have always gone the AT route but I can get a nice deal on muds but don't want the fuel increase to skyrocket that much.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

They look cool on a 4x4, but are noisy on the road and I will go for AT unless you really need MT tires.

Firestone Destination MTs. From what I have read they are quite good.

In all terrains the Cooper AT3s or the ST MAXX but the price difference is quite substantial.

Hi bud, I have been in motor I distort for a while, a/t are by far the best option they have an intermediate speed rating, so traveling at higher speeds are safer, you road noise will definitely effect you, and the fuel consumption will increase- with this said if it is a super deal then go for it. Tyre pressures are very important aswell as monitoring the wear patterns. Over inflating wears the middle, under inflating wears the outsides. I have personally used BF' a/t and they are awesome, with nitrogen I got almost 60000'km. they were a little noisy but not to bad, also were good off road and displaced mud well- didn't cake up easily. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for that bud. I used the BF A/Ts on a hilux for 6 weeks and they were crazy loud, off road I loved them though. I will reply properly later.

I can second that ^^

Road noise is terrible. And you will get NO mileage on them because its soft rubber.
