G'morning all my brothers and sisters in steel.
Yesterday I found out that I'll have holiday from next week, Tuesday, till probably Monday. I've been so busy at university that I don't know about these things. And let's also say there's a girl that's really been keeping me distracted.
In any case back to the topic. I NEED TO GET AWAY FOR A FEW DAYS! I have been constantly working sice September last year (even worked on Christmas day) and its time for me to get away and spend some time with God, and recharge. I am in my last semester of finishing my degree, am under a hell of a lot of pressure.
My idea of breaking away is finding a spot somewhere in the wilderness where I won't be disturbed. I don't want to sleep in a cabin or chalet. I want at least 3 nights under the stars, some fishing, walking/hiking, praying and reading. Please note: I have training in bushcraft and survival and have done various courses for PMCs (private military companies) so I know my way around the south african bush.
What I don't know, is where to go? I Am based in Pretoria and we have a small farm in Warmbaths. I was thinking of going up north and missioning into the waterberge. Obviously it's difficult to find places that aren't either reserves, or someone's farm. I just don't want to see or hear anyone in those 3 days. I also don't want to go onto a farm and get shot at. I don't necessarily have to go north, but then please share some ideas with me. Does Nyone here stay/have a farm that would let me stay there for a while? Ideally somewhere near water though obviously I will be taking my own. Otherwise, some links on google maps of places that might be a good ideA. Reserves are fine, itsjustthe problem with making fires etc.
Kom julle ou weermag bliksems en jagters, help hierdie Jong man. Or if someone knows of a farmer that I can contact and ask for permission to stay on his farm, usually their very encouraging, especially when they realize jys nie een van daai slap gat nuwe generasie Seuns nie.
