Bodyfat - the VA way was created by NorthBoy
Good day good people,
In your experience, how much would you say the bodyfat percentage differ taken the VA way versus the caliper method? I checked mine at VA on Saturday and it read 18,2% at 83,5kg. Some positive answers will be highly appreciated. ;)

My abs are all clearly visible and I'm well under 10.

Honestly, I've tested both methods and only had a variance of like 0.6% between calipers and the VA machine.

There is some talk that the machines will be replaced with newer, more accurate machines in the future.

Side note: When I check I use it more to track the difference than the actual numbers. Gives me a rough idea of what macros to alter.

At VA kings park, they have a scale that you stand on and hold on these handles and measures your fat and muscles. Anyone else seen those?

According to the scale, Im above average when it comes to muscles especially in my legs.

Men watch out and move the f away when you see me at gym :P

Thanks Heretic, that was my exact thinking, checking the difference. Six months ago on the same machine I was on 24% BF at 88kg and now on 18,2% BF at 83,5kg.

Sounds good, bud. Just watch out for when they re-calibrate the machines. One time I took my readings a week apart and apparently lost 6 kilos and 3% bf. A few days later the readings were different but conforming to my previous weight loss trend.

Measurements are also a good idea as well as progress pics. Helps keep me even more motiveted to see the changes compared.
