Where to buy value 4 money chicken fillets in CT?

It's been a while…
So, my family and I are moving down to CT (got a great job offer there) and I need some help on where to find chicken, eggs etc. at a GOOD price in the Blouberg area?

I currently get my chicken at a REALLY great price here in Durbs (23kg of chicken fillet breast for around R850), so if I could get it for around the same price I would be happy.

I've been so committed as of late and to fall short on my diet now would be a massive blow to me, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Boneless, skinless chicken breast for R37/KG? PnP here is about R60/KG. Anywhere quite a bit cheaper than that in S Suburbs? Cheapest fillet steak is about R149/KG :confused:

Maybe I got my facts mixed up could be R37 for half a kg ...I will check tonight ...but were will u get cheaper unless u ride to a farm were u have a connection and then spend on petrol ?

Just make a deal with a local butcher. Luckily we still those brazil chixken breasts for around R35/kg

Ha! Those Pigeons sound tempting man, especially with the massive hike we've just had on chicken!

@Koe007 - I think that would probably be my best option. The Brazilian breasts you talking about are the ones I've been getting. Can't beat them IMO.

Was also thinking about looking/making friends with a farmer etc. but don't know how I would hook that up…

It's a big move for my wife, son and I. We don't know anyone in CT & I'm starting there beginning of December, so if I knew up front of a decent butcher in the area I would at least have one box ticked off my very long list!

The other guys might no better but I find in that area being a newish area the old butcher shops dont exist its the picknpays and checkers that is your best bet shoprite is the cheapist but I dont like there meat ...theres a large butcher inside the pick n pay centre
in Table View ....or maybe ask one of the many steakhouses in the area were they get there meat/chicken....

PnP Claremont has R53.99 chicken breasts.
