Howsit Ladies and Gents..

Just looking for some advice on how to start again.

I was 27years old,1.81mtrs tall @ 82kg with about 18%body fat (training on and off over the last 5 years)(no strict diet) I am now 28 years old, have quit smoking cigs in the last 6 months, 1.81mtrs tall, and 90kg.. with body fat % up to about 25/30 roughly, i have never seen this blubber and lovehandles before..(have not trained in the last 8 months.. As you can see i let myself go a little.

After spending sometime on the forum and reading up on some much needed knowledge. I realised how far behind i am in what i really want to achieve. I have never followed a strict eating diet to support my bodies needs. Over the past 2years my habits and sleeping patterns have changed dramatically, i barely eat a meal till 11am/1pm.. and i hardly sleep.. usually sleeping at 3/4 am, waking up at 7am/8am to goto work..
Now that i have been getting myself in order eating better/sleeping better. I'v found the motivation to want to start training again.

Please may i have some advice on where to start with my diet. Since i have picked up some fat, id love to get rid of that first. And later on, get back on my muscle building, growth programme and perhaps a change of diet to help me grow.

Any Help Or advice on where to start, will be of much help. For the first time in my life i want to do this the right way.

Thnx.

First, have a gummybear for not asking which fatburner or steroid you should use. I think you are great for realising diet and training need to be in place before adding chemicals.

To start, go and read all of the stickies on the forum, and pay special attention to the dieting stickies. Once you have some basic knowledge to work from we can talk business. If you have any questions be sure to ask.

I was where you are about a year ago: I let my weight balloon to 96kgs or so and I made a new year resolution to get into shape again. What worked well for me was Intermittent Fasting (more specifically LeanGains)...I lost 10kgs by the second half of last year after which I maintained my weight but still got stronger.

What attracted me to LeanGains is starting to eat late in the day, which suited my lifestyle perfectly (have never been a big breafkfast person). Since you end up eating pretty late, it might be a good alternative for you to follow since it might be easy for you to fit into your life.

Goodluck and remember these two things:
- The best diet for you is the one that you can consistently follow
- Just like one good meal doesn't make you ripped, one bad meal doesn't make you into a tub of lard.
