Playing sport and losing size? was created by Gainz
Hey guys

Is it possible that playing sport could be burning away my hard earned muscle?
I train during the day 5 days a week and play sport in the evenings about 3 times a week.
Immediately after playing sport I notice that I look way smaller, could it be dehydration?
I eat 3600 calories on training days.

What kind of sport ? I assume pc gaming.. :P

Good news is that you will not loose any gains from computer gaming.. Depends on what you eat and drink while playing lol

I actually have my 5th meal of the day before playing, 200g rice + 200g chicken, that should be helping with muscle breakdown but I still seem to be looking a lot smaller after playing soccer, could it just be dehydration and muscles looking less fuller due to the lack of water?

Indeed the water weight as well as muscle glycogen stores being close to empty plays a big role in how the muscle looks. Blood flow is another thing, where in soccer for example most blood will flow to your legs as those are the muscles that you are using the most, leaving those muscles looking bigger and fuller and the other muscles looking smaller. Think about when you gym, how much bigger the muscle you are training looks compared to normal- this is due to blood flow. If you are eating and training weights properly then you won't lose muscle from the soccer.

I haven't lifted weights in 8 weeks+ and I play sport and run 25+km per week with hectic training sessions, sprint sessions etc and I have lost 2kgs tops. No supplements, no gear, just my 5c if it helps.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Its legs day, legs day, gotta get down on legs day.
