Supplements sa was created by Wayne
Not too long ago there was a topic on supplements sa where some1 claimed to have tested the massive muscle and that the protein content was only about 8g per 100 and not 40g as claimed. He couldnt provide proof and we mostly bashed him. I used to like the massive muscle cos at 40g protein with no soy, looked good as a mass gainer....now i just saw that they changed the packaging and it now states that it only has 11g protein per 100g and includes soy...so looks like there was some merit to that guy claiming they were underdosing on the protein...they must have got caught out and had to re-label...rather disappointed, cant see me trusting em again...or buying any more thier products!

One of the shocking stories was supplements s.a which claim 50g of protein in 120g of massive muscle .. 7 independent labs had the same results they only found 8g .. I was so sickened as I just bought 2 tubs myself .. It's sickening

If you are going to make allegations like this you need to back it up or your post will deleted.

As far as I'm concerned you are talking nonsense. 7 labs? Who needs SEVEN labs to test a whey protein product? Were 5 labs not enough. Or 2? MANY people here who are far from being noobs have used Supplements SA products and gotten good results. These are some strong accusations and useless without proof.

Can't find the "original" post. Only a reply

Supplements SA's website still says :

Massive Muscle (1Kg)

Premier mass gainer protein complex as used and endorsed by John Leslie

Ingredients

Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Casein, Fresh Dried Egg Albumen, Skim Milk Powder, Whey Powder, Maltodextrins, Dextrose, Crystalline Fructose, L–Glutamine, L-Taurine, Vitamin and mineral mix, Chocolate Flavourant, AD 100

Nutritional Facts

Amount per 120g serving:

Protein (48g)
Carbohydrates (59g)
Fat (2,5g)

I can't think that John Leslie would be their poster boy still if they were scamming everyone but let's check it out.

Post a photo of the label on your Massive Muscle that says 11g protein per 100g.

I dont have a picture. But it is at game, and it still has john leslie's picture, in fact he looks even bigger in this picture then the previous ones that were on the containers! It has mostly the same writings and exact same ingredients but including soy and says 11g protein. Name has changed to anabolic muscle stack i think and below it has the phrase for massive muscle, and massive something, cant remember now. But guys in durban, it is at game west street for you to check out! Dunno about any other game. Btw, i dont think they have updated thier site much, if at all other then to change prices....

Oh yes, the other thing, i am sure, by law the ingredients have to be listed from highest to lowest, they still starting off with whey concentrate, whey isolate, etc....at 11g protein, that can never be correct! Should start off with dextrose like usn hyperbolic mass i reckon....and also the price has not changed!

Good day Smalguy, the market is littered with protein supplements and at times it is really difficult to differentiate between the good guys and the bad guys.

With regard to locally manufactured protein can you provide me with some feedback as to whom or which proteins are the best to purchase and which of the international products are good

Regards

Where is lab report that you were going to get for us? It really can't be that hard if there are 7 different labs that tested the product like you said before.

How do you lose R25k by not selling Supplements SA products? It's not like customers won't buy one of the many alternative protein products they can choose from.

@muscle I enquired about this numerous times but the independent testers are not able.to release these to me due to.certain protocalls .. in regards to your question about the 25k loss this was due to stock we had to pull.back as we felt its not right selling a product to someon which does not have in it what it says .. yeah I know a company with morals .. what comes around goes around ey !

ey boet .. personally I cant say any 1 brand or so is the best as like everything everyone reacts differenly to differemt products but ssn is always top class as well as nutritech and titan ..

internattionaly you are spoiled 4 choice .. il be brutally honest im not an optimum fan due to.the soy they use but other than that brands like cellucor , met rx , pharmafreak , mp and also gaspari are to name just a few

some of the guys on the forum see my as cocky and arrogant but I say something like it is and im.just here to inform and help.other members with the knowledge I have built.up.in the industry as I know what happens.behind the scenes and whats the real.deal as its sad how companys blatantly cheat customers ..

I did mail the one of the rep's....mentioning my feelings and that it feels like i been cheated! His response was that if i feel cheated, i mustnt buy the product anymore! And that quite frankly he didnt know what product i was talking about? Now i would assume game to be the biggest one me the biggest retailers me supplement sa products as no other "chain stores" keep thier products, just independs...so how can you as the rep for the products not know whats going on and your massive muscle has been re-packaged, i dunno!

According to Xtreme Nutrition who sell Supplements SA products, Massive Muscle has been not been changed or re-packaged as the packaging across the line was changed quite recently. The name has not changed either. My wife is going to Game later and I asked her to take a photo of the Massive Muscle or something that looks like Supplements SA Anabolic Muscle Stack. Let's see.

Confirmed. It's Anabolic Muscle Stack. This is produced for maximum profit as the ingredients are super cheap and it's targeted at the average person who shops at Game who doesn't know any better than that they are looking for a cheap mass gainer protein powder. No surprise that I haven't seen this at Xtreme Nutrition. Massive Muscle is still around but this is all that Game sells. SSN also has a rip off powder like this with about 80% cheap carbs but this one takes the cake. Here's a pic of the ingredients:

It's basically an alternative to USN's Muscle Fuel Mass which has about the same protein content and 80% carbs.

Listing the ingredients in that order must be breaching labelling laws, it should list the ingredients from most to minimum. No way that the maltodextrin, dextrose and fructose is that heavy. Suspicious.

Thank you Smalguy! You were right all the time. From our side we cannot allow anyone to bash a brand without presenting proper evidence (inspite of our personal feelings about your argument). I am sure that you lost karma because of this, so I am putting you back on zero.

That is great of you bud. Imagine you have one of the brands that are there to help bodybuilders and not scam them, then some random comes along and hurls a big wet ball of dung their way. Normally, they have a hidden agenda of which I am sure you can come up with some reasons. Our only defence against this is to ask for proof.
