Used Gym Equipment

I am looking at purchasing used commercial gym equipment.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to which company I can contact. Private sales also welcome.

Mainly looking at the Zest, Matrix or any Olympic/heavy duty gym equipment.

When one of the mainstream gyms upgrade their equipment, what happens to the old one??.....This is the equipment I am interested in purchasing.

Gumtree and Olx etc....etc.. not very helpful in this regard.

Gym equipment seems to get snapped up pretty fast. I'm also constantly on the lookout for plates, benches etc. Have found a few bargains in small-town pawn shops over the years..

There's a company in Midrand called (Gym Trading Specialists) they sell all the second hand refurbished VA commercial equipment.

Yeh found that name too. They seem pretty organized.

Are you in CPT? Try a place called Evolv Concepts..they manufacture gym equipment at very reasonable prices (new equipment was half the price of the imported stuff other places were selling) and supply lots of the cross fit clubs around CPT. I'm kitting out my home gym with them...goodies will come this week so goodbye VA and your damn queues at the squat rack :woohoo:

@Bruno, That's correct....I am in the Mother city. I have purchased equipment through them, however equipment such as a leg press machine or hack squat they do not have. I am impressed with the quality of the equipment they supply.
