AntiDepressants and Testosterone was created by Kuifie
I have done a quick bit of research, and got some mixed articles on this.

The effect of taking antidepressants and natural testosterone production. The general consensus thus far it does not affect your natural production levels, but only decreases your libido end drive and such.

Is this consensus so far correct or does a correlation exist between the two.

I am currently on Paxil 20mg for the last month, and have had a mayor decline in libido, which Paxil seems to be notirious for, but this has sprouted some curiosity on the correlation between testosterone production and anti deppressants in general.

A sure way would have been to take blood test before medication commencement, and after a few months, but alas, I am a student and does not yet have the resources for this.

Any input guys or knowledge on the subject to share ?

I don't know much about the influence it has on test, but anti depressants could be bad news for body-builders. This is due to the weight gain they may cause. The manufacturers insist that weight gain is not that severe and only happens to a small percent of users, but check out the online forums and you will see that the problem is more widespread. Paxil is notorious for weight gain. Apparently anti depressants affect leptin somehow, creating a sort of leptin resistance. The primary function of leptin is regulating fat stores. Persons affected will not effectively lose fat no matter how hard they train or diet.

I will check it out, however my training and diet has been consistant and of much greater qaulity than the past and am actually leaning out nicely.

Dr only put me on for 6 months so I am hopeing this will continue to be the case.

I have only done one cycle almost a year back, considered running a second, but first need to get diet and training to utmost levels, before I will commence again, perhaps next year.

I am however curious about the correlation SSRI's has on the body and hormones and such, and I thank you for your input and still curious should other members have more input.

Maybe consider w ellbutrin as that does not reduce libido and if anything might slightly increase testosterone. SSRIs do reduce libido and lower T levels in some men. It's got to do with testosterone metabolism and SSRI metabolism using the same enzyme (one of the same).

MA do you know anything about Tranquipam in relation to T? I am on that, well I only use it when I feel it might happen.

Thanks bro

Nope sorry not sure about benzos and T. I had to google tranquiem to see what it is and I see it's a benzo. Horrible shit but damn they do work. I'm taking midazolam for trensomnia. The problem with benzos is your body becomes reliant on them very quickly. Very addictive and like most western medicine you're just treating a symptom (anxiety) not not the cause.

Yes its a benzo.. extremely potent, I only use half though which already knocks me out and my dosage is supposed to be a full one that's why I only use half when im absolutely sure the sh1t is about to go down. I was asking because I cant find any info of anyone using a benzo on cycle coz I planned on starting my cycle after the fast even though im not using it everyday

And you're right I need to address the cause which ill be making a priority soon

Does taking a natural test booster bridge this problem, or in laymens terms, does the antidepressant stop production to early down the line for testo-boosters to make a difference ?

My apologies for the simple nature of the qeustion, but this is the only way I can ask in a way which perhaps make sense, dont have the knowledge to ask in propper terms.

Well out I've been taking lexamil for almost a year and the first 2 months was the worst low to no libido and actually increased depression, but if you can get pass the peak then you libido comes back and depression goes away.

PS. It does make it alot harder to cum so don't use durex perfoma condoms Trust Me sex for 2 hours is not that much fun
