So Layne Norton got the new men's open 93Kg world record squat weighing in at 92Kg - 303Kg. I've always found him a bit annoying on his YouTube channel but he obviously really knows what he's talking.

Check out his YouTube channel www.youtube.com/user/biolayne . He's got a PhD in in nutritional science and has lots of videos on how to eat/train.

Yes the determination of a champion.

Here is Brett Gibbs going for the 83Kg benchpress world record - 205.5Kg. He gets it up but they red light him for racking too early. Damn the IPF are strict.

Skip to 1:43 for WR attempt.

It's almost impossible to get away with using steroids in the IPF. Their drug testing is probably more hectic than the Olympics and is also controlled by WADA, so it's not a case of being able to know the right people. World records are only recognised if drug testing is done to WADA standards by the anti-doping commission.

International IPF lifters must make themselves available for random testing at any time in the year if requested. If any top lifter retires and then decides to start competing again they have to make themselves available for testing 6 months before they compete. It's gotten extremely hectic in recent years.

Sure there are peptides you can get away with using until a week before lifting but there's nothing these guys can get away with using that will make any significant difference to their strength.
