ADHD is an extremely broad platform, many behavioural patterns can be controlled by hard work and effort. The problem is the medication in this country sucks to treat it. You need to stack a few things together to get the right balance. Where by other 'non FDA' approved work as a 'all in one package'. However in November there will be dual d and l amphetamine (this will have an anxiety property) with it. Strattera is a complete waste of money, bupropion is pretty effective and of course your methylphenidate.
It is true where by ADHD does manifest itself over time, it is not something you can outgrow and it shifts for majority of people from a hyper activity when younger in to a more sluggish when older (yet increased anxiety).
Good luck and I really hope you have a top not psychiatrist working with you, because I've seen many people put on wrong combinations..
