Testosterone levels high, now low? was created by PsyCLown
Hi All,

So I posted in my previous thread although thought it to be best to create a new thread which is specifically for about my test levels and the results etc.

So some of you might remember that I got my testosterone levels checked a while ago for interest sake more than anything else as I was getting some other blood tests done just to check my general health.
The results came back and my test was really high, here are the results of the first test I did:

The Dr recommended I stop all supplements, wait 3 months and then get the tests done again.
So I did that and here are the results I got back earlier this week:

As you can see they are sort of on the opposite side of the scale.
Now my test is really, really low. Almost low enough to be recommended for TRT or similar

Now firstly there were 3 supplements which I stopped taking during those 3 months. SSN Whey Protein, Evox Creatine Monohydrate & Revite Omega 3 Ultra Strength.

Now I have no clue where my testosterone levels should be as the two tests are quite contradicting and vary a lot. Is it possible that my endocrine system has been suppressed a bit by whatever caused my testosterone levels to spike and that it should not actually be this low?
If so is there anything I can do to try and "kick start" it again? When you are cycling you would normally have your PCT to do this, correct?

One thing which I have started to notice, is my sex drive is not what it use to be. Started changing perhaps 4 to 6 months ago and I just put it down to me possibly getting older (turning 24 later this year) as well as stress from work and so forth. Even around the time when I got my previous testosterone levels checked it wasn't the same as it had always been previously.

Now do you think it is likely / possible that my testosterone is naturally as low as the 2nd blood results suggest? If so any assumptions as to what might have caused it to spike soo high and would such a spike be bad? If I can find out what it was and start using it again, would there be negative side effects / would it be a bad idea?

Also taking the two blood results into account, if I wanted to do a beginner bulking cycle in the future would it be alright or would there be any risks which are increased due to my test being so low?

I am basically just trying to make sense of this and see what my options are and what direction I should take from here / what to do.

I have started taking BSSA Concentrated Whey & BSSA Creatine Ethly Esther after having the 2nd blood tests done. Still gyming and eating, will continue to do so although this is bugging me a bit to be honest.

Hoping someone here can give me some feedback and assistance?

Thanks,
Psy

thinking out loud, how could your tests really be do different:

Did they mix up your blood sample??
Is SSN Whey full of orally available Testosterone??

You mentioned your LH & FSH levels were low on the first tests, as would be expected with a negative feedback.
What are the odds they mixup your tests with a steroid users???

What were LH & FSH like on the second test?

You say your sex drive is down the past while.
Have you noticed that your balls have shrunk?
What about spontaneous erections?

Stress is a bastard and can no doubt have some impact.
What time did you do the blood tests?

There is always the possibility they somehow managed to mix up my bloods with someone else's, however I do not think I will ever really know whether they did or not.
Also no clue about SSN Whey, IMO it would make the most sense for there to be something suspect inside the whey as opposed to the creatine and Omega 3 if it was one of those 3 which caused a spike in my testosterone.

I did not do LH and FSH the 2nd time around as I was not expecting this at all, I now kinda wish I had. I did however do the E2 the 2nd time around.
I can get LH and FSH done again if it is really necessary.
In terms of smaller balls, not too sure to be honest as I do not really feel them often and I certainly do not measure them.

Spontaneous erections, nope. I have to be stimulated by something.
As for time of the tests, the 1st time it was around 7.30AM and the 2nd time it was around 1.15PM - could that cause such a difference?

Test levels do drop off during the day.
But I'm not sure by how much - seems an extreme drop??

I'd retest again first thing in the morning and do LH & FSH too.

I always use the above mentioned lab, results are usually consistent with what I'm taking, where I am with regards to cycles etc.

What difference would wanking or having sex have on your testosterone levels as well as having them done fasted vs not fasted?

I think I read somewhere that throughout the day it might change, although by how much is normal?

On a 7 day period it fluctuates, it peaks on day seven then drops low. As low as the equivalent of ejackulating. So this dispels the myth of wanking on a daily raises test. Same concept with semen, that's why your balls don't explode from massive volume if it's not released, your body absorbs some to keep you in homeostasis.

On a daily, if your cicardian rhythm is normal it'll be high in the morning (6-9 if I remember correctly) and strength is higher in afternoon (14-1800). And GH is highly elevated late night to waking, and after resistance training until food is ingested.

Times might be a bit skewed, so don't quote me on that.

Ok, so let me see if I understand this correctly.

Any guys testosterone levels will fluctuate over a 7 day period and this happens continuously? It will build up and on day 7, will drop to the lowest point.
However if you ejaculate during that 7 day period then it will drop and then start to build up again from that point onwards and continue to build up until the 7th day when it drops - at this point it would be as if you have ejaculated?

How much does it actually fluctuate though? I am sure I heard about this somewhere and it ended up being a myth though and the amount it actually fluctuates is barely noticeable?

Then with regards to your body being on a proper circadian rhythm, your test levels will be higher in the morning and strength higher in the afternoon?
Once again, how much should your test levels differ though from morning to afternoon?

Then your GH (Growth Hormone?) will increase at night, although if you ejaculate it decreases?

Just a heads up, an avid reader of scientific literature - not a medical doctor.

Didn't say anything about GH and ejaculating mate, I'm not sure if there is any correlation there, probably not. Otherwise you're correct. The peak test levels realised after seven days shouldn't look like an exogenous source was used, and shouldn't make your bloods look weird, just wanted to make you aware.

Ahh, my bad. I misread waking as wanking. :silly:

Good to know though, thanks!

Also, I cannot express how extremely skeptical I am that your whey will impact your testosterone.

Look, I am not stating that it is the whey. However what is the possibility that there is something else inside the whey? It doesn't seem right to me either as that would lead to extra costs and would the consumers actually notice that it is the whey which is giving them better gains? Probably not.

It is possible that the previous results I got back were not mine and they got mixed up.

There must be some variable we are missing here. It is definitely not SSN whey. Putting unlisted dodgy ingredients in a product could destroy a company. They are not stupid.

I really am not sure. Multivitamins I am still taking the same ones, never stopped taking that. Food wise, I eat pretty much the same as previously.

Training is for the most part the same. When I got my bloods done the 1st time, I had been sick and was not training for a while. Although do not think being sick would affect testosterone levels?

Only other thing I can think of would be that they got my blood mixed up with someone else's.

It's not the whey, that's for sure. We would all be using their magical, cheap testosterone-increasing additive if it existed.

Most likely mixed up, even though that's not very likely either. Just get some new tests and you can see what is happening in your body now. I know it's a mission but it's the only way you will know for sure.

Hey all!

So I got bloods done yesterday before I started my cycle and I picked up the results today and have no friggen clue WTF to make of it.

My test levels are anything but consistent and it seems as if my FSH is always on the low side? What exactly does that mean, I did a bit of Googling but am not 100% sure. It seems to be linked to growth (might explain why I am soo short :P ) as well as sperm production - so possibility fertility? If it is low that might mean I might not be very fertile? :-/

Hi Psy
Your LH and Test Levels are normal to good.
I am willing to wager after two weeks of 50mg Clomid and then your Nolvadex for 30 after your cycle that will be better. Due to your age. Take bloods 6 weeks after your last PCT Chemicals.

Best of luck.

Any idea about the FSH?

Also correct me if I am wrong, but with TRT you are generally aiming for 400pmol/L correct?

@Pyro (hoping you read this), I have noticed you have been answering a lot of questions lately regarding LH and FSH. I know they work together to provide testosterone, however in my blood results I posted above my test is okish, my LH looks alright for an adult male (inbetween the values) however my FSH is on the low end still. It was also on the low end when I first got bloods done at the beginning of the year.

Why is my FSH low, what could it possibly mean and is there anything I can do about it?

Hello PsyCLown!

I have read many times that SOY (ingredient found in most, if not all WHEY supplements), can contribute to some unwanted effects in men, specifically related to sexual desire.

Have a look at THIS

Two key words: genistein and daidzein = phytoestrogens, which MAY be considered
