Ok I'm calling this because I'm getting irritated, all of these threads popping up just to link a YouTube video. Waste of a thread. We aren't going to share pages of info about 1 (old) video. That's why the Motivation thread is there. We all know how to use YouTube, this isn't ground breaking content that warrants a thread on it's own.

Am I the only one that feels like this?

Look Colt, I am happy you found that video entertaining, apologies if you are offended, I just think it's a bit redundant. Create a YouTube account and give the video a like, add it to one of your relevant playlists and/or put it in the motivation thread.

I am just going to give my 2c worth, not looking at stepping on anyones toes here. I am not saying that anyone is right or wrong either.

This is a forum, it is a place people with like minded interests will come to learn, teach and share experiences, knowledge, information etc. etc. with others who have like minded interests.

This was posted in the general section and it clearly states that you can "chat about anything" in this section - it is still related to lifting weights which is sort of what this forum is based upon (not many would take AAS and not do any form of exercise).

Does it warrant a thread of its own, well Colt thought so. I am sure not everyone here has tons of friends or family who appreciate the same things we do and as such this forum is filled with people who more or less would appreciate similar things and more than likely enjoy talking about things related to lifting weights and improving ones body.

On any forum there is going to be threads which do not appeal to some members, just ignore it and move on.

Perhaps I am the only one who feels this way though.

For some Abs are made with lighting & angles... For others they are made in the kitchen.

Correct.

In the "general section" of this forum, we discuss general shit. It does not need to be related to anything about steroids, training or diet.

One rule applies, don't post porn or stupid shit sick shit.

With equal genetics and drugs, guys who train for strength will generally always be stronger than bodybuilders who train for size if there isn't a HUGE difference in their weight. There are ±90Kg powerlifters these days who can benchpress/squat/deadlift more than any 120kg bodybuilder. An 18 year Russian kid benchpressed around 240kg the other day in competition at around 90kg bodyweight. Insane.

MA you mentioned the russian kid I see the whole of russian athletics is been accused of doping and might be banned from the Rio olympics apparently the only way for athletes to get government funding is to join their doping program thought that was quiet funny.

Noice!

Diverting a bit. Many of these strongmen and power-lifters are straight fat right, fair enough there is a threshold where a certain amount of bodyfat is conducive to strength building and proper bodily function. But if they decide to cut down below the 10% mark, they might open doors to a career in fitness modelling/ acting. Jon Andersen is a good example, fat kid -> power-lifter -> strongman -> wrestler -> bodybuilder + entrepreneur. Mark Bell also has history changing directions if I recall correctly.

Where would that threshold be roughly in terms of where your bodyfat % no longer really assists in lifting heavier weight? Around 15% ?

PsyClown I'm in no position to give you an answer. I doubt there is a scientifically backed answer, and still then I think some functions are diminished at different percentages. I'll be interested to know where it is also, but I can say with confidence you don't need the hibernation lard some powerlifters have.
