Hi Demolish.

Yes me and Lallie both carry daily. Both Cz P07 gen 2.

I have to declare mine to security and sign it in and out daily.

Most companies and their HR departments frown upon it as you might bring it in with a motive and they do not know your intention. That is why mine is handed in daily and locked up. Knock off time it is handed back to me.

It is on you. It always has been...

Just a heads up guys.
Do not confuse a everyday concealed carry handgun as one you have on an sportshooting licence. Your everyday concealed carry should be on a self defence/protection licence

Lallie got her 2nd pistol on Friday.

Switch & Wesson M&P Shield Performance Centre in 9mm Parabellum it is a sub compact single stack. It is ported/compensated and has a light pull trigger on it.High visibility fibre optic sights front green rear red. Accurate little bugger fits in a pocket nicely. Capacity is 7+1 and the other mag is 8+1 I ordered 3more 8 round mags for her.

Something to look into for someone looking for a small, reliable, accurate and highly concealable hand gun.

Congrats brother! I hope she has many fun filled range hours and never a moment where she needs it in daily life.

For interest sake, what made her choose this pistol? Did yoy have other choices? My girlfriend is thinking if arming up and so I'm looking for possible candidates. I'm thinking glock, but I'm not a fan if the no safety lever although on the other hand it makes for easy, quick reaction shooting with practice. Otherwise she enjoys my cz75 but it's a bit too big and heavy for her to conseal. Also have a s&w .357 wheelgun with the consealed hammer on the table.

The S&W Shield has a thumb safety.

She had other choices yes all the sub compact Glocks and Taurus PT111 she just chose the Performance Center Shield.
Her PO7 is to big for her for everyday Carry.

My P07 I love it.

Only reason the smith PC came out tops for her was the safety and great trigger and the porting that reduces flip and the high visibility sights as she struggles with chick sight picture and acquisition. Taurus is a great little gun also.

Ask for a trigger lock at your local gun shop. Lock your piece if you have to declare it and take your ammo with you. That is if you have to hand it in at a curity

Remember, a gun is a tool, you dress around it.
The biggest issue with comfort is 99% of the time due to a shit holster. Look for a Comptac Mtac holster or consider appendix carry (Raven Vanguard 2).

Consider local support for the gun the choose. Glock is the most popular choice for a reason.
If a gun shop has spares available for only one brand it will be Glock. I go through a mag spring in about 2 years on average and am about to replace a recoil assembly in my one glock after 3 years of use. The parts are universally available and considerably cheaper than other brands.

Id recommend going for either Glock or CZ as a primary carry for the above reason.
Also, a smaller gun can be made "larger" by inserting a larger mag. Eg, a G26 (10rounds) can be topped off with a G17 mag (17rounds) when required.

Just remember, a big gun shoots softer than a compact due to the weight. The weight obviously makes it more cumbersome to EDC.

Finally, forget about a thumb safety. There is a reason modern handguns exclude them. It's an ancient idea that's mostly been eliminated but still on the market only because of old folks that is unable to change with new methods and techniques. It can cost you very dearly in a stress situation. Same goes for empty chamber carry. If you are concerned about safety issues, then get a proper hard (kydex) holster that properly covers the trigger guard.

So we finally found one, a CZ P09 with threaded barrel. Put a 50% deposit down and the rest on approval of the license. We looked at the Taurus as well as Sig and baretta. The pistol is full size but it seems like a very natural aiming pistol for her and feels comfortable in her hand, as a plus she thought the olive green and threaded barrel looked cool B) got it for a bargain from a guy who inherited it from his dad but didn't want it.

I have a Glock 34 and 43 and for everyday carry the 43 is the best. I can carry it everywhere and because it is so small no one even know I am carrying.

Hell Jono. She must be a tall girl if she likes a P07 and can conceal it everyday.

Hope she enjoys it and has many trouble free rounds of fun.

I'm thumbsucking now I think she's about 1.65-1.7 I'm 1.94 and she's a head shorter than me. She loves my cz75 but it's too heavy, the P09 is about the same size but lighter and better balanced.the guy had a fobus holster that he also threw in and it sits nice n snug, the magazine well is slightly visible through a shirt but it's not the end of the world. What matters is reaction time, training and confidence in yourself and firearm. I used to carry a 44mag dessert eagle every day for a year before I sold it and you couldn't even tell I was packing  (I miss it sometimes :( )

Myself and my wife carries a Glock 26 daily. It saved us on a few occasions.
With regards to work, I conceal it well and nobody has seen it yet.
