Honesty with steroid use

Hi guys

Met an accident this week Monday. Was admitted in hosp for a check up. Upon admission. One of the questions was if I'm steroids and I lied and said no. I just had body pains and chest pains. Did ecg and that had a variance. So they admitted. Did more tests but all was clear.


Anybody else been in a similar position?

Is it best to lie or tell the truth?

You can probably lie until they want to put you under, but the ER staff see all types, and have no idea or care whether you are on UGL or prescribed gear. It's simply to provide you with the best care in case the shit hits the fan. They're not going to call the cops.

I never lie, and i agree with Eidolon, they wont call the cops

If shit is about to hit the fan. I will def come clean. Or if shit already hit the fan. The wife will confess.

Will tell the truth from now on.

Just hate the look you get when you tell someone in the medical field that's you using steroids.

Haha. Most people in the medical field can tell you're using steroids, bud The next step is to get used to the look you get from the public

Thats when you work with GP's, not 1 of my specialists have an issue with me using.. But then I have educated them quite a bit on the subject :lol:

With me it's not very obvious im on juice. Only in my 2nd cycle. But I already got lectured 3 times in this current cycle. I came clean with the bloods lady and my GP cause they knew and after I came clean, I had to sit through a small lecture. Lied to my ENT doc but he still gave me a lecture

Some docs are really cool with it. Some just treat you like a criminal and give you minimal help if you confess to using.

Some advice from my side. Tell your doctor the truth about your usage as sometimes it works in your favour if you know what I mean! They wont phone the cop shop as the person on the other side wont know what in the world they talking about.

I had my Gall Bladder removed a few years ago when I was 27 and normally people over 40 who drink a lot get this removed so all the docs and anesthetists were shocked when they saw someone under 30 for this procedure. I was running a heavy cycle at the time(no orals). PS: No I do not drink often like 1 or 2 beers every few months.

It was interesting as I told the doc all the compounds I was using and he took all the information provided and did some research regarding steroid use and the effects of the gall bladder.

I did not follow up with him on the research conducted however I will contact him and see if anything came about if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested, but I seriously doubt gear to cause gallbladder issues. There are way too many anecdotes that never mention gall stones. But, I'm keeping an open mind, it could've gone unnoticed

I had my gall bladder removed at 17 years old, doctor was like "WTF Mate?" and I was like "You tell me WTF mate!". Apparently diet does play a role, especially loads of extreme rich foods, and he said its most frequently occurs among Mediterranean woman. No idea a about alcohol though, that never topic came up fir me. Just FYI, trying to contribute. Peace.

Another question i have allways wondered about, while this thread is open.. Has anybody on this forum been in a situation where your medical refuced to pay your bills (dr/hospital) due to admitting that you use AAS, and your claim could be related due to the use of AAS? And also, do the document this and send this to your medical aid for record?

I know by law they cannot involve the cops though..
