I don't know which Section to ask this question on.

I was on Nebido for TRT, for the last 4 years. I wasn't happy with that doctor, so I went to a new doctor. The new doctor moved me from Nebido injections, to Testocaps, as they call it.

I take 1 x 40mg per day.

But I know nothing about these capsules. Do they work immediately ? Or does it take time to build up ?
I read on medical sites, that you start with a higher dose for the first 3 weeks, and then taper down.
My doctor does not do that. She just started me on 40mg per day. And she says we will only test my levels again after 3 months. That is a long time to wait, to see if it helps, if your levels go up, or if your levels go down.

I would appreciate any advice on this, and the Testocaps, how they work and are taken up by the body.

Testocaps are still Test undecanoate. I'm not very familiar with them but understand they are not liver toxic and obviously easier than injections. The only thing is they are apparently not as bio available as injections so you don't get a very efficient level. From what I understand it is still the undecanoate ester which implies a very long half life, or slow release, which is why some Dr's may "frontload". But go with your Dr's recommendation and see. I would request tests a little sooner then 3 months though, even more if you start feeling the effects of low t again.

It would be good to know more, maybe share your blood results and how you felt on them. It would be an interesting alternative to TRT for some.

My comments are not advice, medical or otherwise. I am not a medical practitioner. Always consult your Doctor before making decisions.

Sorry bud. This is a terrible idea. I would stay far away from any doctor suggesting testocaps. One has to wonder, if it was a good option for TRT then why don't more men use it instead of injections? If there was any oral option that worked most men would choose it.

To get a heathy testosterone level you would need a small fortune and blood levels will not be as stable as on regular shots.

40mg per day will not work for any man unless you are 3 foot tall and weigh 20Kg.

I wasn't very clear about why 40mg is pointless. The bioavailability of testocaps (what actually gets absorbed into the bloodstream) is about 10 times lower than Test Cypionate, and can be even lower. It is not possible for an adult to have a consistent, normal testosterone level at your dose.

On paper it looks amazing, I was fooled in the late 90s. It's actually shit.
