ACNE

I've been struggling with back acne for a couple of months. I consultade my doctor and she prescribed Tetralysil 300mg tabs for 4 months.
It's been going good for the past 2 months. Taking a shower twice a day. During the 1st month I started to use Oxy self heating scrub, which was crap, and then changed to Dettol soap and Savlon disinfectant. It's been working really really well. The acne has reduced a hell of a lot, specially on my shoulders. As for the back, there are still a few swollen red one's, but they get blasted as i scrub my back. But i dont think you can go into the sun when using Tetralysel.

forgot to mention that i actually did go into the sun...wasn't long, but managed to get a bit red...also been playing golf every weekend for the past 3 months...but yeah, the sun is the best...thanks Mr_SA...

u can go in the sun using tetralysel. its an antibiotic,i had no issues with sun and tetralysil.

Why is it that the one day it looks like my acne is clearing up and the next it's horrible?

I went to the quack yesetrday and she prescribed the good-bad stuff: roaccutane.
I'm yet to fetch the prescription.

I still have a month left on Tetralysal and it's December.
I'll spend some quality time with the sun and take it from there.

I'm not keen on getting the roaccutane purely because of the effect it has on ones system...

But if after my date with the sun is unsuccessful then I'll revert to roaccutane as a last resort, but only after my next cycle in Jan '11...

roaccutane please do yourself a favour and don't use that shit it dries out your skin ,eyes,joints and your lips literally crack from being so dry.You also can't go in the sun and your skin will be reddish most of the ddue to the dryness.
