Anabolic Steroids SA - T-Shirts

Hi,

We would like to hear your feedback on t-shirts that we are planning to sell...

This is a rough illustration how they will look:

We already have an idea of the most common shirt sizes people wear... (Look at the site poll)

What we don't know however is if you are willing to pay in the region of about R100 to R120 per shirt.

Also give us your opinion on the graphics that we plan to use.

So:

1: Are you prepared to pay R100 - R120 for our shirt?
2: What are your thoughts on the shirt graphics?
3: Anything else you would like to add to the discussion.

Jesus, by blazing the "Steroid" word around, are we not attracting unnecessary attention!
On the web it’s kinda anonymous, but wearing a shirt is maybe asking for shit.

Is it not going to drive the gym’s anti Bodybuilder Attitudes?
Will it not attract the attention of the cops?

personaly, I won't buy / wear one, its too blatant. Somthing cryptic with PGW and a smart chirp is cool though

Also think that shouting Anablocs all over the place is a tad in your face. The shirt should really be focused on the guys on the "know" and not be an advertisment. I mean bottom line is the guys wearing the shirt will be the forum boys and they know what PGW is. BUT you dont want to be wearing a shirt that will bring negative attention to yourseld- cos bottom line is the stuff is illegal

All true, barring the slogan, the shirt looks pretty cool to me

Same here, admin. The pricing and stuff is cool, but I feel that the slogans should be a bit more subliminal. Personally, I wouldn't wear the design in the pic you posted. Also think that something like that would definitely put this site and most probably pgw into the spotlight. And that's not counting the influence of the wannabe laaities who will walk around with ILS while wearing the shirts and telling all and sundry how hardcore they are because they are on juice.

okay, what about this.
Front, leave the site logo and just put member under the logo.

Back, remove the wording that relates to the website and keep the logo.

That will only be know to members and no one else.

What does that sound like?

maybe even remove all the artwork on the back and just keep the front logo on the chest with no wording.

Front logo and maybe a catchy slogan on the back. Or why not both. Print some with the logo and nothing and some with th logo and a slogan - white and black and thetre you have a range of 4 shirts

Ok, so the problem seems to be the word "steroids" and the address on the shirts.

I didn't realize that the possible social implications the word "steroids" on a shirt might have would cause such negative views.

Like Netro said, we can remove the site name and address and maybe put a general bodybuilding slogan on the front with the logo. The idea was to attract people to the site so that they can learn what we are all about and that steroids should not be viewed in the same way as recreational drugs.

To be honest, I don't give a fuck what people might say to or think about me if I would wear a shirt like this, but I also realize that my skin is very thick and that I'm kind of a rebel. BTW. The cops can't do shit to you if you wear a shirt like this... you can wear a "I support the Taliban" shirt and nobody can do anything about it.

I think that the shirts could look very good if we fix the text... the graphics are very good and there is no way that anyone can make anything better as there are many limitations on the design specifications. You can't just print anything... the graphics have to be designed in a vector format and with a maximum of 4 colors. If anyone can make something better in vector that is only 4-bit color, I will supply you with anabolics for a year.

Also keep in mind that the printers have to make a kind of stencil that only lasts a couple of hours, so it is very expensive and we have to pay for two because we are planning to print on both sides.

I've had some very high quality shirts in mind, but it turned out that you will have to pay something like R150 to R180 per shirt and I doubt anyone wants to pay that much for a shirt with a testosterone logo on the back.

Please give recommendations with your criticism so that we know what you would like and not only what we're doing wrong.

I've been going through old posts from the start of the site and I see a few similar to this one. Were there ever shirts made? And if so would it frowned upon to reintroduce them 9 years later?

Personally I wouldn't mind wearing a shirt with steroid related topics, not to show off or anything but I just have a funny sense of humour.

Written on it, firstly I don't give a shit, secondly I don't give a shit what people think. they Know I use steroids anyway.

It's something I would just like to have and maybe train in but I wouldn't go to my nephews primary school play with it. It's the same value to me as having a shirt of all your favourite rock bands.. I mean from the threads I went through it seemed like a lot of people were for it..it's just a nice to have I guess..

It would be cool to have a t-shirt with just the site logo and maybe a catchy phrase, so that only other forum members would recognise it. To avoid being approached by some of the nutter newbies and trolls we've had on the forum, a minimum post number required for purchase would be good.

Ok I've actually mentioned this on at least two separate occasions but I never bothered searching for a thread like this because frankly, I never imagined that some else thought we could go through with it. Imagine my delight when I saw Admin started it But then again, if the designs are to bear the site logo, it should go through him.

Below is the design I've talked about in the past. I've got about 15 other really good designs that I'd love to share, but I plan on using them myself and posting them here will be unethical (and stupid) advertising. So I'd rather come up with new ideas and designs.
