I know this is not gym related, but it's interesting to see the implications of this

National Road Traffic Amendment Act 64 of 2008

Amendment of section 35 of Act 93 of 1996
12. Section 35 of the principal Act is hereby amended—
(a) by the insertion in subsection (1) after paragraph (a) of the following
paragraph:
‘‘(aA) section 59(4), in the case of a conviction for an offence,
where—
(i) a speed in excess of 30 kilometers per hour over the
prescribed general speed limit in an urban area was
recorded; or
(ii) a speed in excess of 40 kilometers per hour over the
prescribed general speed limit outside an urban area or on
a freeway was recorded;

National Road Traffic Act Amendment - Commencement - 20/11/2010 - Government Gazette Proclamation of the above.

by the President of the Republic of South Africa - No. 60, 2010
COMMENCEMENT OF THE NATIONAL ROAD TRAFFIC AMENDMENT ACT, 2008 (ACT NO.64 OF 2008)
In terms of section 28 of the National Road Traffic Amendment Act, 2008 (Act No. 64 of 2008), I hereby fix 20 November 2010 as the date on which the said Act shall come into operation.
Given under my Hand and the Seal of the Republic of South Africa at Pretoria on this 25th day of October, Two Thousand and Ten.
President
By Order of the President

So 90 in a 60 zone = bye bye license for at least 6 months on 1st offence, 5 years on 2nd offence and 10 years on third. Unless the magistrate is satisfied that circumstances exist which do not justify the suspension or disqualification

Note, this is IRRESPECTIVE of aarto being live or not.

This is ridiculous. There is really a lot of excess 80 and 60 signs, many in Rustenburg region!! Flippen stupid, with no sign to show you can go 120 again. Its not speeding thats the culprit, its the idiots going 40 in a 120 zone that one have to overtake!!

I really wish I had a lorry or something that I can just go a little of road with and drive over any sign I think is stupid. Why do I have to slow for a perfectly good bridge, or a road that had potholes, or one gravel road turn off, or two shacks next to the road!!

Think I will need to get a jammer, seems to me like the trouble you will get from that is less in comparisson.

Now that's some crappy shit. hey..

They don't give much wiggle room, I've plenty of 60km zones, with roads that look like you can do top end drags on it.

I think car manufacturers should actually complain. Lol. what about all these performance cars that can't perform due to law.

LOL!!! :) It's fine we have some track days coming up soon. Problem with VTEC is petrol. Just over a 1000km on a 60l tank if I drive on the highway, if I use vtec and town, I get 400... arg!

You know, I will celebrate the day they ban lorries on our roads it they don't have proper mud-flaps. My car is 40 days old and I had to replace the windshield yesterday with a new one, just to have it chipped 5 times today already. I was so pissed this morning I almost had a stroke. Also just ordered two patch-up paint thingies as I have 20 stone chips already.

This speeding law above won't affect me as I drive strictly to the speed-limit mostly. Only in the karoo will I go to about 130km/h...

Oh and the little poes from PG glass chipped my door also when he moered it against the garage wall yesterday. I'm never going to buy a ferrari or other supercar, because I will probably hang myself when some other doos with nothing of his own comes and fuck-up my stuff I worked hard for.

OMG!!! I would be PISSED OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is this stuff you can put over your front bumpber, it's like a type of laminex well looks like it. It is so durable you can take a key and you can't make a hole through with it.. My mate with his black car (as new) been sprayed twice, he finally gave up and put this over..

With you admin, fixed the chips on my windscreen only to get 3 new ones an hour later. But I am wondering if a replacement windscreen doesnt chip more easily, I think so.

I dont speed that much, but do drive 130 most of the time, consumption:speed good, but I like to stay at that speed, hate slowing down unnecessary, even more when some stupid Polo / corolla overtakes me then just to be in my way when it slows for some bird on a eskom pole!!!

Sorry if you drive a Polo or corolla, but now it is said.....the are always in the way u will notice....(and a chev spark  )

I am ranting, sorry

Dude, I was furious and had to eat a cookie to cool down.

I already have that on my bonnet and headlights, it's called VPS Protection and it does help. ±R2500 for a small strip over the front of the bonnet and headlights.

There is also one for the windshield called ClearPlex Film and that is bullshit, because I had that on as well. I paid R1500 for the window and it only stopped the very small stones from chipping the glass, but it was a stone about the size of a 20c that destroyed the plastic layer and cracked the windshield about 30cm. The same truck also made over 50 chips on the glass and ±10 on the front bumper (Where I had no VPS). This clearplex shit also "blur" your vision.

I also have Smash&Grab on the side windows, but people told me that is bullshit as well. I spent R5500 in total on all these plastic kak and so far I'm not very happy and will not recommend any of them.

Trucks and taxis are going to drive me to murder one of these days. With all the lose debris on the highway, these trucks just toss up all the shit on the roads.

On another note, we having a track day at The Rock raceway in Brakpan this weekend if anyone is interested. Gymkhana, 200m drags, show and shine and some exhibitors.
