Exertion Headaches on 1st Cycle was created by dryden
Hi

Apologies if this is in the wrong section but here goes.

I'm currently on week 6 of my beginners cycle as prescribed by dj. I'm using Testoviron amps which as of this week has kicked in to high gear. With that came a new problem. As of about 3 days ago I cannot do any sort of exercise without getting the most debilitating headaches in the back of my head. It's not a dull thud that I can work through - it's as if someone is hammering a 6 inch nail into the back of my skull. Yesterday morning I started with chin-ups and did all of 6 before the onset and when it came I wanted to die. Shortest gym session ever.

I had my blood pressure tested yesteday and its slightly high - which is to be expected because thats what test will do. I've looked on the net for answers but couldn't find anything concrete. Am I wrong in assuming the high blood pressure is to blame here? It's not as far as I can tell a muscle spasm or pinched nerve or somesuch because I feel no discomfort whatsoever outside of exercise. But let me even think about lifting or even loving the missus (don't you dare laugh) and my head starts throbbing.

What are my options fellas? Lay off the gym for a couple of weeks and see what happens? Stop the cycle? Which doens't seem logical because if this is a common thing then surely there's a solution and I'm not keen to chuck away the $$$ I spent but if it continues like this I fear I might not have much choice. Try and get some blood pressure meds (scary thought without proper diagnosis). Whichever way I try and breathe it makes no difference either...

This is frustrating as hell gentlemen. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link pump... I'll look into getting some of those although I suspect the multi I take every day will have many of those things covered. Is this something that will eventually fall back or will my bp remain high as long as I'm on the gear? No point in the test peaking if I cant do the work in the gym. I've considered laying off the gym for a week or so and seeing if it gets better. If not then I'll go see a doc, lay my cards on the table and see if he'll help me or simply say get of the gear...

I seriously fucken hate this.

Any natural route will take longer, you can dose up on flaxseed as that will act as an anti inflammatory. You also have the option to start dosing adex or letro will should help by day 3 or 4. However your quickest possible solution would be a duiretic, while you wait for the AI to take effect.

I very much doubt your bp will lower if this is how it is now, it may even get worse.

How is your fluid intake? Its really important to get allot of water in while on cycle. The slightest dehydration has a immediate neorological impact

Also watch out how much salts you're consuming aswell.Salts can also increase blood pressure.

Sugar was worse than salt for me in some of my earlier cycles.
Somehow my BP is great on cycle nowadays. And i'm on big doses.

jack you 100% correct, sugar can effect your systolic readings to a major degree.

Increased sugar intake high GI / increased insulin / insulin has its part to play with sodium & water and bang you have increased blood pressure.

Simple carbs need to be metabolized meaning the need of vitimins and minerals and this could lead to mineral deficiency due to leaching out micro-nutrients from your organs/bones.
