Hamstring tear was created by stevie
So bout a year ago I was playing touch rugby with mates, when sprinting along the touchline seemed to have tore/strained/tweaked both my hamstrings at the same time. Was excruciating! Couldn't walk properly for a week and couldnt sleep that night. Things still aren't right and can only run at 75% pace otherwise they really tighten up, even after streching them for a half hour before. Went to numerous physios and doctors etc, all telling me different things...some say it wasa grade 2 tear, some say I tore the fascia between the muscles etc...

So, was wondering if anyone has any experience with hamstring injuries, what to take, exercises etc.

Apparently Sting is doing his thesis on the matter? Would really appreciatte his input.

I think you're looking for Spike, he's the one who's doing his thesis on hamstring injuries. Sounds like a match made in heaven, shouldn't take him too long to stumble upon this thread

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

TADA

And here i am.
Yeah Hamstring strains are my specialty, in particular chronic or recurrent strains.
Please tell me you're in the Durban area?? If so i can offer you free treatment as part of my clinical trial.

So far i've had some pretty good results from it and have found some possible links to other biomechanical issues that any chiropractor can sort out for you.

Um, but im scared of needles...

no prob bro.
Go and get a chiropractor to take a look at your sacroiliac joints as well as your lower back, any fixations and abnormalities here can result in abnormal pelvic biomechanics, which can in turn affect the hamstrings and your stride and gait. Restoring pelvic function thru sacroiliac manipulation can often help to reach full recovery in problematic hamstrings
