Knee Wraps was created by Perpetuous Dreamer
Hi guys

I was just wondering how many guys actually use knee wraps to squat?

I squat and deadlift pretty heavy all the time...and im noticing that my knees are getting rather sore after training legs

And just for fun...how much do you guys squat?

I have used straps once or twice. Was just for shits and gigles. The bigger guy in our gym, uses them all the time. Even when doing calves(he does do it very very fkn heavy tho) and legg press. They cant be that bad if ronnie used them.
It increases ur max squat by almost 10% i would say. i can take 210kf to the ground with the straps.
on my own 190-200kg for say 2-3 reps.

but going that heavy i dont advice. I like 160kg, nice and heavy and i rep it out.

I find knee wraps are like a belt, for the bodybuilder there's no reason why not to use them if needed. If it adds weight to the bar without increasing risk of injury, add it. But I personally prefer not using either

With Jack's help went from a 110 for 10 quarter squat, to an easy 135 for 6 hips below knees parallel squat in a matter of weeks (thanks again bru). Shooting for a 200kg 1rm by the end of the year

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

Hmm, I use straps for, presses and squats, my knees are properly damaged, wish I used them before I caused the damage

I got straps recently... but havent used them yet.
Only been using a belt up to now when i go over 120kg's squat.

My max so far has been 140kg's... but i am sure i can do 160kg's...

Im actually looking forward to using the knee wraps... especially when i am on my next cycle... 180kg's should do it :-)

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

with the powerlifting we only start using wraps from around 60-75% of raw 1RM (and not even all the time, it makes your knee stabilisers lazy and weak).

if you train for bodybuilding and dont have knee problems you have no need for wraps.

PS id rather not answer the "how much do you squat" question haha... ;)
