morning problem was created by Wayne
Hey guys, i hav been tring to train in the mornings for the past few days. As soon as i get up I use a pre-workout concoction of beta-alanine, glutimine, creatine and arginine with a sports drink. I train about 20 min thereafter and about 20min into my training, i hav an urge to go to the loo(loose bowel movement)

Now i would assume I am losing some or most of my pre-workout mix in the loo. And I also assume this to happen cos i take the pre-workout mix on an empty tummy cos when i used to train in the evenings and use this mix, i didnt have this problem. Now takin into consideration due to time constraints I cant exactly wake up and hav a meal at that part of the morning, wait for it to digest a bit then take the pre-workout mix, wait again to train and also i dont wanna train in the evenings cos the kids are all over me then, HOW CAN I POSSIBLY OVER-COME THIS PROBLEM?

Thanks

i would have a meal before training, its obviously the carbs that are making your metabolism work in the morning...so wake up 1 hour before, have a meal, then 20mins before have our shake,by the time u have your first shake u should already have gone to the loo...u can always wake up earlier in the day to have a meal,i used to wake up at 4:00am to have meal and then train at 5:00am...u gotta do what u gotta do...

i would be to greedy to skimp on sleep. i would have taken a shake with waxy maize starch and then make your pre workout an intra workout.
give some feedback as to what worked for u in the end?

Why don't you when you wake up just get something in your stomach? A banana or something? Have you also tried to exclude one of your morning supplements out and seen exactly what is causing it? Maybe it's the creatine not able to digest properly, that what it sounds like to me.

You really don't need to pig out in the morning, just get in a little bit of food, enough to drive your session. You have not eaten all the hours you asleep then you go have an intense session. I can promise you now, no ways would 'weight' concern me if every morning I was feeling crap, or having an upset stomach, or whatever. Cook some oats the night before, stick it in the microwave and have a scoop of protein with that.

Problem with eliminating one of the ingredients is I got them all raw so shoved the lot in a container and mixed it all up with a few sachets of game. So I cant really take out anything. It seemed like a good idea at the time...But I will give your idea of havin a small bite to eat as soon as i wake just to put something into the system then try taking my concoction 10 min after....
