Jeez, I've just seen the footage. Absolutely devastating, looks worse than the Tsunami that hit Thailand/Sri Lanka! My thoughts and prayers go out to the Japanese.

I did allot of reading on the Mayan people and its actually amazing what you will find. They found stone tablets dated at about 2000 years older than the scripts from the bible. These guys had knowledge about DNA (shit you not), galaxies only dscovered 5 years ago and the list goes on. Some of the books in the bible is directly referring to some of these stone tablets.

If you start going into this it is addictive. There is a book called "Slave species of god". Its a eye opener! I highly recommend you read it if you are a "free thinker" and question the shit you have been force fed since birth

Didn't the "Mayan's" also predict shit would happen on Y2K? Is it really that hard to believe that MAYBE they ran out of space on their calendars? Most of the people caught up in this 2012 craze no nothing about mayan culture apart from what went on on apocolypto

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

ABC01, each man is entitled to his own opinion, and I mean no disrespect by what I am about to say. I have read the introduction to Michael Tellinger's book. He proposes a well reasoned argument but lacks a biblical, theological understanding of scripture. As he states in page 12 that man is in need of salvation, I agree, however as Hebrews 1 clearly states the reason we no longer need prophets is that everything foretold in the Old Testament of the coming Messiah (Jesus Christ) was fulfilled in Christ's ministry on earth. Revelation closed and summed up the destruction of the earth, the rebuilding of a new earth with no sin, Christ ruling. All scripture is breathed by God and profitable in all things, though we do not have absolutely clear instructions for everything pertaining to daily life we have biblical principles which we still apply from the bible. Our laws and ethics today are largely based on scripture, our schools, hospitals and legal system were based on christian values, not as some way of controlling people. The theories of his book are unsubstantial and mostly theories. Again this is just my view, each man/woman is entitled to his/her own opinion.

The whole Mayan thing goes way beyond the y2k shit. I'm not convinced about the 2012 thing either as it is possible that they "ran out of space" on their calender. They talk about a celestial reset of the clock. Not necesarily meaning the end of the world.

@ Koe007: I get what you are saying and i have respect for the way you relay it. I see myself as a spiritual person (not religeous) and i like reading up on these things. One have to keep a open mind when going into these things otherwise it makes you crazy. Not saying what Michael Tellinger says in that book is the only truth. It just makes for a interesting read and gives you another perspective as well. You cannot however ignore what has been found on those Mayan stone tablets which outdates bible scripture by yonks.

Not to be funny but this thread went completely off topic "with this mayan discussion". what happened in japan was a massive tragedy, lets keep on point.

This truely is a massive tragedy. Looks like Japan has huge dept and rebuilding their infrastructure would plunge them into a black hole. What would have to happen now is that all the countries importing from Japan as well as exporting to them will have to come to the party helping them. If this does not happen you will see massive price increases on various items that needs to be sourced else where. My thoughts are with them........
