Pro-tan and dream tan was created by JK
Howzit,

Does anyone know where I can find good prices on comp tanning products? the cheapest quote I got was R260 for dream tan, and I need 2 per show, so thats over R1000 just for dream tan for 2 shows??? then its not even the base coat pro-tan

Cheers

Why is it that so many SA BBers stand on stage with a very golden look, or shall I say bronze? No really I mean, really gold...

I like the more natural tan, that makes your skin look, leathery? does that make sense?
Doesnt too much shine distort some of the lines and detail?

I dont know allot about tan, so pease tell me to shut up if Ia talking crap...

Its because of the mess it leaves. Or that is what the chairman here told me. I know they the officials are lazy for the clean up afterwards.
But imo ,most the tans make a mess. Not just the dream tan.

I agree that its the worst thing on this planet! Dream tan makes the guys appear allot flatter and less vascular! Its also a nice trick if you're not lean enough, because of the light that bounces off the person they appear leaner.

all i know is tan is WAY too expensive. You looking at around R700 just for your tan for a show. Dream tan is messy, i'll second that, but i didnt have much issue with the look of it. What makes you look flat is if you sweat too much, then it runs and becomes overly shiny. In my avatar pic i was using dream tan and was quite happy with the way it came out

Um, but im scared of needles...

It is fkn expensive just for your tan....i ussually put on cream tan the night before, like a base for color. the next morning i will check, if it not dark enough, wil apply another coat and then the dream tan before i go on stage. Cost alot just to get urself as brown as the competition. The guys that use dream tan always shadow the okes that dont have a shiny tan on. U cant afford to not have dream tan if the other okes have it on. Its fkn ridiculous....

ok, no tans that rub off are allowed. Are u a guy that tans easily? Then i would advice tanning before hand to get a nice coat.. Then for 2-3 days before hand u spray on tan. Like comp tan or those that dry on ur skin and cant rub off.
U take light showers,no rubbing after u have put it on.
make sure u are nice and dark and even colord. Then u get baby oil or almond oil and that is what u have to put on rite before u go onstage. It looks niccce. Shiny. hehe

COmpeted at SA's in april with that and it looked nice. Make sure to spread oil evenly and must apply enough.

I got a chick tho that comes to my house and sprays me with i think its called spraytan or somthing. Its oxidises the skin. Makes u brown...nice too. Thats what i did, looks more natural than the comp tans. U look all caramel.hehe
Ppl wer askin me when i got time to lay sunbed.

Anyway.Good luck buddy. oh ye, still allowed in WFF/WBBF

Thanks, I would say I tan easily, I ordered Jan Tana and the Hi Definition Glaze, but I like your idea of spray tan, it goes on evenly and does not rub off. I will definitely use dream tan at WBBF then in Sep if I can hold onto diet that long, im knackered and craving like you wont believe, I am full from all the food but at about 2am sugar craving hits bad and I eat biltong to sway it.

Hi, I'm a professional mobile spray tan technician. I've done many spray tan's for bodybuilders. They need to make that mind shift of darker is not necessary the best, but the more professional it is done the more it compliments the hard work and show off the body.
U'r welcome to contact me for any advice. I have used most of the tanning products.
Regards
Ina

I wasn't happy with Jan Tana when I used it for a show. It's way too expensive especially if you require 3 or more sprays. I was happy with Pro Tan and I applied 4 coats
