Thought it would be nice to see with which daily factors people struggle the most and how they overcome them. What halts your progress the most?

Mine at the moment is my diet, getting good food in. I am away for work, staying in a guesthouse and have to eat out a lot. While I simply just take the biggest steak on the menu, our ideas on veggies are way different...normally pumpkin will swim in sugar or stir fry in oil.

I have to rely on shakes a lot, but at least I managed to convince the guesthouse to give me 8 eggs and oats.

Geez, good day guys. New on site, but not new to the punishment we put ourselves through.
Mine im battlin with at the moment is my head, lol. had a FTD ( FEELIN THIN DAY )yesterday, and tht just discourages me and my whole mindset towards trainin for the day. And from there on you get the spin offs bout your gear and your dosages.

So to overcome tht, i grab my balls, tell myself to shut up u pussy, and then go in head first.

LOL

my other problem now is my company giving me a credit card to buy food on, along with the 'I am bulking' excuse this makes it real difficult to eat correctly and not raid Woolies food. I am actually one stingy guy and now I have this free reighns

I agree that the biggest challenge is when you have those "i look so small today" days, and totally cuts motivation.
Diet is also not the easiest, especially on the weekends, when you are still trying to eat clean!

My body is so dam carb sensitive... i look at a carb, and my bf goes up!

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

haha i would say diet is the biggest one,can relate to the skinny days that sucks..a problem for me is also chicks, fuck sometimes its hard to decide whether to go for a shag or go to gym and when she phones with that pretty voice saying come over and i say im just going to gym you know you will get the wrath of a female, also its hard to go to her place for the weekend and be eating raw eggs and raw oats at the breakfast table with her parents and then eat again every 3 hours..then theres the farts, man i fart alot when im eating right and the not the smelly silent type, they the fucking loud smelly type and lastly the cortisol from all the stress you get from the chicks has to be bad :(

Damn diet over weekends. During week i am in a rather good routine, and makes that easier.

Like the FTD word you created. Just hate those days.

Yep diet over the weekends is a killer. And i totally agree on women, mine gets real upset if i choose gym over her... I never live that down.
Those demotivated days where you just feeling tired and run down, and especially when you feeling small...

Um, but im scared of needles...

Something else which frustrates me is the criticism. There is very few people that supports bodybuilding. The normal reaction I get is that it is ugly and to big, I normally just say if you aim for that and fall short, where are u.
also the other crap I have heard: that my head is/or will be to small for my body. Its unhealthy. once u stop u will get fat. when you are old you will be useless and fat. Or why change you are fine as you are (with body fat at 11%, busy bulking!) skip one day its fine catch up tomorrow.

Am I the only one getting this flack?

you sure aint bro, we all get that. My girl says she prefers the athletic look, so she never understands when i say i need to grow. Just yesterday i went to get an oufit for my sisters wedding, god what a mission. Finding something that'll button up around my neck! I had a crowd of sales assistants watching me get stuck in the one shirt... Buying clothes is a mission. And then everyone says you're too big. But you know what, just bask in the attention, take every comment as a compliment. I just laughed when my gf had to help me out of a pullover

Um, but im scared of needles...

@m0lt3n :agreed , random people like that irritates the shit out of me ,they don't know jack shit but there lips are moving... , every 1 of them wants to make you think they are better than you for not doing what you are , but then you see through the smoke and realize that they are so intimidated they have to do it to feel some sort of self-worth ,accomplishment or fuck knows

The day i stop training is the day i die!

Had the same issue with my brother's wedding two weeks ago. had my measurements took before hand, I was best man, and when I got the suit there it was real bad. I think they have a set ratio for shoulder width to beer belly! The other suits were fine, but of course they were nicely filled out with belly and more belly

My Biggest challenge in my diet too. i am currently on a diet from dj and i am finding it so hard to stay faithful.
some days i feel like i am shredding and other days i feel so fat.
Diet is so hard so keep correct, cause it is not just about eating clean but about eating the correct food at the correct times.

what i have learned is that you can take all the pills in the world and train as hard as you like but if your diet is not perfect you can forget it.

but i guess we need to, as it was perfectly said hold our balls and take control.

i like the saying -PAY THE PRICE OF SACRIFICE OR PAY THE PRICE OF REGRET

I have a huge mirror at the end of the hallway. So i get to see myself every morning when i get up and take my naked walk to the shower. I dont have that "oh shit i feel small days" but rather "WTF i look fat" days. Its so depressing

Must agree with the previous post. Also have those feeling fat days, but I think my biggest setback is not enough rest...

I have been into bodybuilding for most of my life, for around 10/12 years now, I don't care about sweets or chocolates, I have dedicated myself for so long, that it doesn't matter to me, ja once every few months i'll have a chocolate, but don't crave it..

For me personally it became easier hopefully it becomes the same for you.

Well pump you are lucky! I dont have any controle when it comes to chocolate. Its so bad that my girlfriend is not allowed to keep any sweets in the house. Over the wknd during shopping i also walked down the "easter egg isle". All those bunnies staring at me i just had to consume 3 of them (and they werent those shitty small lindt ones)
