I stick by the tried and tested 1.5g per pound of bodyweight; 300-340g per day, depending on whether it's a training day or not.

do you eat more or less on off days?

I find eating more protein on of days has its merits...

I generally have a bit less on off days, since I don't have my postworkout shake and I also leave out the carb-heavy wholewheat breads and occasional brown rice which I have pre-and post-workout. I can understand what you're saying though, since on off days your body is in recovery mode and would use that extra protein to aid in recovery and adding lean mass.
