Decline bench press i dont see people doing it Anymore. Is it a waste of time ??

Decline BB press and especially decline DB press is amazing for putting mass on your upper chest.
I ALWAYS start off my chest/upper workouts with incline DB press, usually dropsetting the first set.
Works wonders for opening up your chest, and in my opinion there is no equal.

I think you are confusing incline with decline monster. Incline for upper chest, decline for lower... But as jack says, dips are just sooo much better

Um, but im scared of needles...

Ummmm you mean 00pump! But i dont disagree.

Dorian Yates starts off with declines in his Blood and guts training vids. Recons once you have pre-exhausted with them you have done the job. But then i dont recall him having the most impressive upper chest either.

I say inclines all the way. Do EVERYTHING on an incline. albeit a slight one at times. Like Lee Haney said on one of his seminars - the chest is primarily there to push stuff while standing upright. No matter which way you look at it you are at an incline to be able to push anything.

Sorry jack, I just get all you old timers muddled up, must be my Alzheimers :P

Yeah I never bother with decline, inline and flat. Dumbell press almost always incline. Dips does all i need for my lower pecs

Um, but im scared of needles...

Yeah should have said incline, my bad! Tend to get the two mixed up. Personally I have never done decline though, would much rather do dips as others have said

Well as far as I know there's no decline press benches at any VA gyms. So I haven't done decline bench in the last three years.

This is where some of the wonderfully smart and intelligent patrons of Virgin Unactive grab a bench, raise the front end onto 2 or 3 incredibly stable aerobic steps and use the smith machine to all its glory! :D
