Its going to get fun when the public transport also runs out of fuel.
Are the commuters going to strike because ceppawu is striking?

The strikers don't realise that the money they gain from the raise does not make up for what they lose by striking, and the unions get paid right throughout the strike, so they don't care how long the strike lasts.

But the worst part is the criminals who hide among the legit strikers and then commit violence to innocent people.

Business as usual.

Tip, when looking for petrol BP and Sasol are you best bets, Engen is your worst bet.

Diesel is also affected, because even though the refineries have enough fuel (petrol & diesel) for a while, the truck drivers are striking, and those who aren't striking get intimidated when they try to deliver fuel.

I haven't been following the entire story as I try and distance myself from these things when I'm on cycle, but I'm sure this is not doing the economy any good and it's normally the middle class person paying the price.

Admin you will be fine where you are, I'm driving to the coast tomorrow and phoned the stations on the way, most have had deliveries yesterday and Saturday again.. its only jhb that gets these crazy mobs.. head on the radio police will escort trucks to safe filling until the strike is over.. rather go on a go slow that complete strike... why don't all of us strike for people to never strike again.. durban supposedly is only minor hit... but for safety maybe just fill up... up here in jhb they will kill you if you try to get in the way of a strike, one guy I know went to a meeting in jhb centre went down this road, bang into the middle of it, they said to him get out of here, he said its a one way, they then said ill kill you, go you..... prefer not say what, but very racist comment to him.. probably would have got you to have a vein on your head start throbbing ;)

As far as i have heard... Shell is not unionized... so therefore... quite a few of them have petrol... and some Sasol's got last night.
What will happen is the fuel companies will approach extrernal ununionised companies for help with regards to transporting.

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...
