Increasing disregard towards forum rules

Well I definitely support the moderators and admin for their tough stance on breaking the rules.

Is it my imagination or is this problem just seem to be getting worse? Its like the more they get banned the more guys fill their place just to do the same silly things all over again?

I say "off with their heads" :lol: :lol:

It's just the traffic to the site increasing, so more morons are visiting as well and it appears like the rules are being broken more.

No one reads the rules. People don't use common sense. a basic rule is that if you won't do something in person, you shouldn't do it on the interwebs. You won't walk up to some arb dude in the gym and ask for roids, u'll get snot klapped, so don't do it here.

I think it's probably just the summer rush - everyone wants to get their hands on Dbols to be extra ripped for the December holidays :lol:

Admin can't you find a way to pre-moderate posts from new members for say their first 20 posts? That way if its the usual dumb shit noone but the mods would ever know about it, if it breaks the rules the individual gets emailed as to why their post was never posted that way they know what they did wrong instead if coming back the next day under a new alias

Yep, there is a component that do exactly that. Thing is that it was written for an older Joomla platform. I can recode it to work with v1.7, but I just don't get the time these days.

EDIT: Just noticed that the author made it compatible with v1.6, so it should work with v1.7... Going to test it now: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extensi...rum-extensions/15836

Nope, not going to work and not going to happen, because it's going to be too much work moving members up and down the permission system. That is a huge task that will complicate the site way too much. Deadgoat's suggestion is the best by far as it can be fully automated once the first post or two has been approved.

Transgressors get lynched so quick here i dont think any new system is needed.

Yes, you are right. It's far less work for the moderators to just click the ban button than it is to implement a system that has to scan every post and cost resources on the server.

I feel kinda sad now. I always chuckle when I see a thread named "suppliers?" or "how much and where?", some good times they were. We could very well have seen the last person to ever be banned on this site
