Roadside speed cameras

Sup Guys

you know those cameras that cops place on the side of the roads, i was wondering whether they flash when a speeding vehicle passes, or whether they just record a picture without flashing?

yes, i was speeding the other day, but the camera didnt flash. So im just curious about whether i did get caught.

Don't mess with those cameras, there is always someone watching it in the bushes nearby.

Also those big cameras they have at robots are alarm protected. When I studied in Potch many moons ago a couple of friends pushed one over with a bakkie and minutes later the police were going up and down the streets like crazy looking for them.

Sigh, looks like I have two fines coming in then. Got nailed on the M3, the lanes are separated by bushes so you get nailed when its too late to do anything.

I was doing 250km/h the other night, my mate cut his writs at his girlfriend said he was dead, so I rushed to get him to hospital (he wasn't dead just stuffed, and didn't have medical so I had to cover his bills)... If I have been trapped at that speed, I better buy a bicycle..

I think if you got caught and could prove that is was somewhat of a life or death emergency they may have gone a bit easier on you

00pump is a good friend, indeed. However I don't think they would have been easier on him even if were a life or death situation. Even ambulances are required to stick to the speed limit and obey traffic rules... it's only taxi's allowed to make their own rules.

Id take it so far that it would eventually end up in the constitutional court

lol, yeah, taxis think that your emergency light's (indicator's) button is the “do what ever the hell you want” button!!!

dont put on indicators in traffic... it gives away your next move

IMHO its all a big F@$%&@$G money making business. Thats all it is. If it is not the petrol price or the cost of electricity then, sure as hell a camera will get you sooner or later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!guaranteed

IMO, it is not speed that causes accidents but reckless driving! In Germany they have an “auto baan” on some high ways where you can drive as fast as you want and they have much less accidents than what we have in South Africa. Been there last year, driving from Waalweick in Holland to Mulheim in Germany is great once you pass over into Germany! You can drive as fast as you want and no worry about getting a speeding ticket!

When i drove a Police van back in the days military subscription the station commander freaked out when he received a fine for one of the stations vehicles. We used to have to go see the prosecutor and come up with some story about an emergency to get it squashed.
