I have a George Foreman elec steamer. It's pretty handy, but a bugger to clean sometimes. I must say it's quite expensive for a decent one.

Those bamboo things is about R160 at @home. You still have to put it on the stove ect

The electric steamers is about R450 to R800 depending on the brand or whether its plastic or glass

The convection steamer is about R550 to R1400 for a nice one (the ones i saw)

The bamboo ones work great if you dont mind the labour. The only reason i would go for the others is because i like to get things going and not worry about it till a alarm tells me its finished.

I've got both - Bamboo and Electric - both are great, but I would say rather get the electric one, as you dont have to constantly check the foodies! You set the time and off you go!
