Gynecomastia Surgery was created by TSG

Howzit Guys

Gotta friend who has large nipples, doesn't look like gyno, but he's thinking of having surgery done. He's not overweight and trains. Since medical aid doesn't cover this surgery does anyone know how much this will cost? if anyone here has had it done, was it worth it?

Is it worth it at the end of the day? Doesn't sound like a medical necessity. Purely cosmetic. Sure if it will give him more self confidence and will improve his quality of life and has the money to burn then ok. But if not its a hell of a lot of money and the pain is very intense. I'm sure 00Pump wil agree.

I don't understand the point of bodybuilding if this will always be an issue, specially when your bodyfat comes down nicely.. I just can't live with it, you don't even want to take your shirt off, and being a surfer you always have (had) your shirt off, so no, for me its worth the cash, I paid close on 27k each time I had it done. And don't regret it, ye its a little saw, but end of the day well worth it for me.. I just don't want to have to go again.

Lol @00pump... Don't think my comment was that clear. What I meant was that if he isn't sure its gyno then it can be that bad. I stated that its cosmetic coz medical aid won't pay for anything relating to this procedure which in essence makes it more expensive. And I also said that if it improves quality of life in any way then go for it.

Wasn't referring negatively towards the process at all. I'd prob do the same if I was in that position. Reason I referred to you in my post was for the pain issue.

You 100 percent correct, I would try other options first, before surgery unless I can see its proper gyno then I'd say don't waste your cash.

You 100 percent correct, I would try other options first, before surgery unless I can see its proper gyno then I'd say don't put your body under strain with the other things.

I have now done radiation treatment, speaking to cancer specialists, anything cut out of the body can cause another hord of issues, so I'm playing it safe this time.

There was on here however it wasn't that bad compared to some I have seen, when cold you couldn't see it, but to me it was an issue.. If you find the topic you will see the pics, if they where on the old site, they gone.

Well I was speaking to a professor who deals with cancer patience and said do radioligy if you have anything cut out the body... He said that could very well be the reason why I have had to go 3 times.
