Lol, I have an Ipad2 awesome product I never use my laptop anymore at home.
It seems Apple is a clear choice should I want to synchronise my apps, folders etc. Can the 4s be jailbroken I have done it to my ipad and no problems?

Jip did it last night :)

I might be getting an S2 pretty soon... Know a couple of people who have them...
The thing I don't like about apple products is the whole iTunes thing... you can't just plug your phone in and pull off photos or whatever... ringtones... etc... (Maybe they changed the 4/4s...)

iPhone screens are weak... look at them skeef and your iPhone gets the new cracked screen app instantly installed :P.

I replaced my wife's iPhone screen myself... One hundred and twenty rond... not too bad ;P

Android is there already. HTC user interface for Android is superb. Some of the others, not so much.

Windows Mobile and Symbian for Nokia, now they lagging way behind.

Provide a feature that the iPhone can do that the S2 can't do? It is all down to personal preference and what you need it for.. Bar, the one or two proprietary things Apple has released on the phone... It's a catch 22, the Google Navigiation system beats TomTom and Garmin/Garmap hands down, ten fold, you get it for free on the Samsung and you can even navigate via street view, all your applications are free, bar one or two.. You have seamless sync to any medium... And you can turn your Samsung into a iPhone look alike with Miu if you like the UI.. Again, it goes down to personal preference, and this could be argued for days on end.. This makes me feel like i'm back in 1998 when everyone argued the difference between BSD and Linux, end of the day it was down to personal preference. BSD has some elements over Linux and visa versa..

Koe the iPhone is a great phone, you won't go wrong with it.. I wouldn't jail break it, I'd purchase any of the apps that you may need, as it wouldn't be lots. The S2 is also great, again goes down to personal preference, so chose one and see how 'YOU' like it.

The only flaw I have found with the Iphone and Ipad is the lack of support for flash integration, as many many websites utilise this functionality.

i have the 4S, a close friend has the S2, so we switched phones for a weekend, let me tell you the differences...

Firstly, they both come in similar packaging.. and basically fuck apps!

the S2 has a bigger screen, its slimmer, and lighter (made of plastic)
the 4S has a 3.5in screen, and quiet heavy (made of metal)
i personally prefer the feel of the 4S in my hand

both have HD screens, although the S2 colours seem highly saturated when compared to the 4S. the 4S wins display hands down (eye retina display), S2 cant come close! its so damn realistic. So viewing pictures, and videos are much better on the 4S (with the exception of S2 having a bigger screen)

camera quality is brilliant on both phones, really difficult to say which is better.

when it comes to apps, whatever is available for the S2, is available for the 4S!
the only schlep with the 4S, you have to have iTunes, and a account (they ask for credit card details, although you could set it USA store and get a FREE account ;) )

the S2 has android! therefore modifying your phone to your liking is simple (theme's, live wallpapers etc etc...).
the 4S does not allow this, unless you jail break it!

wWith regards to receiving emails, its very quick, but also very costly to leave data services on all the time, as the 4S constantly checks iTunes for updates, if there are updates, it gets downloaded immediately. (same applies to S2)

not sure if thats going to help you make your decision!

oh, one more thing... its just awesome to have the apple logo facing people when you on a call :P

what free acc? You have to give credit card?

Yes they still have the app but it won't be updated as Adobe discontinued support for mobile flash

I love the SIRI voice activation on the new iphone 4s. It is so interactive and very accurate when it comes to typing voice activated messages. I have been enjoying Blackberry (especially BBM) up till now but when my upgrade is due, I will be switching to Apple.

So despite my better judgement I went for the samsung galaxy s2. I was so disappointed with the phone I went back to vodacom after a day to ask trade for the iPhone, they refused as there was nothing wrong with the phone.
After much pleading he agreed to return the phone and I had to pay the difference in for the value of the 2, which landed up being R2100. I received the Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the Galaxy s2 hence the hesitation he had to make the deal, I am on talk 500 so it was a packaged deal.

My problem with the Galaxy: I had the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with Android 2.1 and loved the phone however now and then it would freeze or drop calls(non network related),I am no computer bod so one wrong change to settings caused a string of problems.
The Galaxy feels cheap, it's light hoped but completely plastic. The screen quality is no where near that of apple especially when outdoors, the camera is much slower than the iPhone and the Gingerbread Android for me was to complicated. If you are clued up with all the technical mumbo jumbo the galaxy is for you but for me I hated it, the good part was synchronization of my memory card from the Sony to galaxy was integrated well with all my contacts and media. vlingo is shocking and basically takes over the phone and messes up settings, incoming calls mms all a hassle to setup, drops Internet connectivity a lot and changes settings itself.
The IPhone 4S I loved from the moment I first used it, excellent display resolution, easy touch Screen, smooth to operate, simplistic to understand and the phone feels like an expensive phone. It integrates well with my ipad2 and cloud makes integration a breeze, remote desktop synchronizes it well with my pc and this is truly the best phone I have owned.
The downside is the continuos unnecessary data it downloads to keep the phone up to date, so a data bundle is a must, or just switch it off but it is never completely off. This problem should be resolved soon as vodacom may be coming out with a service similar to bis which will allow free surfing on the phone and data etc at a set price per month.

I do not hate the Galaxy Tab 10.1 but for me I love my IPad2 and will not change, if admin does not mind anyone interested in buying it from me it is for sale, it costs R7000 from Incredible, mine has the wireless keyboard and case all you can take for R5500 including postage.

So I should have listened to the pole and saved R2100.

sjoe Koe, I have the S2 and must say i really had none of your issues. even with it feeling cheap...a heavy phone pulls your pants down.my boss is an iphone fanboy...with broken screen (tip-dc fix on the screen makes for a quick fix)
i came from a none smart phone, read reviews and went for s2. BTW...checkout iphone droptests on youtube.
i think its a case of once you used to something, you wanna stay with it. same as with cars.

of topic; did anyone else notice that vodacom was cheaper than the other network providers this time?
