Hypothyroidism was created by iMan
Hello, so I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few years back, running a low dose of T4 50mcg everyday. So my question is does somebody know a bit of this, there is a lot of info on the web, but not consistent. I feel tired throughout the day and sometimes a real pain to go to the gym. I know T3 eats muscle so does T4 not also? Thanks in advance.

hey bro, I don't know anything about hypothyroidism but i do know that T4 will be converted into T3 by the body. T3 is a lot more potent than T4 so even once converted a dosage of 50mcg T4 shouldn't be of much concern in terms of muscle wasting. Having said this, everyones body is different so just be cautious.

Are u currently dieting? Low thyroid levels can happen from calorie reduced diets,go and have your thyroid levels done again,u might need a slightly higher dose of t4, look if your body isn't producing enough t4 then u take it in supplementation wise with eltroxin as you don't produce enough yourself,so in your case taking t4 to get your levels back to average joe won't eat into muscle...but best thing to do is have your levels checked, also get some thyroid repair formula from solal with some selenium and try that out see if that helps.

I am currently doing a lean bulk, so the low calories is a no go. I get my levels checked every six months, will be doing a new test in a month's time. Will go get thyroid repair and some selenium. Had a read on l-tyrosine and kelp as well. thanks DJ +1
