had a look at the hcg and ovidrel profiles and from what i can tell ovidrel is the better choice so i was wondering if i could use ovidrel in PCT 2 instead of HCG?

im also new to this whole steroid thing..so just wana make sure i know whats happening, so plz correct me if im wrong..
Ive heard that pregnyl basically mimics your LH therefore stimulating test production..but it does not stimulate your bodies own natural LH which is what you actually want..where as Ovidrel does..it supposedly stimulates LH,FSH and helps with sperm production?? is that correct?
So ovidrel is a better option when it comes to restoring your natural test production etc.
Thanks

Ovidrel is also called rHCG (r=Recombinant). Recombinant DNA technology is the process in the lab that is used to join together DNA segments. In this case with Ovidrel human genes are cloned into a hamster ovary cells to produce HCG. rHCG just means 'recombined' HCG. Ovidrel is more stable after reconstitution than Pregnyl but that doesn't make it more effective, just that it lasts longer once mixed with the bacteriostatic water. That is the only major benefit over Pregnyl. There is zero evidence that ovidrel boosts FSH more than pregnyl.

i have doc's full pct, which obv used ovidrel instead of hcg.. could someone explain why specifically they use the ovidrel and not the cheaper hcg, if there is no benefit?? :whistle:Muscleaddict wrote: @Snitch Ovidrel does not stimulate LH production. It also mimics LH just like regular HCG.

Everyone seems to have read this:
"Remember I mentioned that LH, FSH and TSH has the same alpha sub-unit? So, by using Ovidrel, you will have a "TRIPPLE" effect. Firstly, your LH effect will increase testosterone production, secondly the FSH effect will have testicular tissue enhancement and Sertoli cell stimulation leading to higher sperm production, and thirdly the TSH effect producing more T4 to convert to T3. Pregnyl consists basically of the Beta sub-unit. That's why we test B-HCG in urine for OTC pregnancy tests. So, Pregnyl only has a LH effect"
...and got all excited about Ovidrel.
Part of that is not all true. Pregnyl's beta sub unit has nothing to do with it's LH mimicking effect. Pregnyl and Ovidrel's beta sub units both differ to those of LH, FSH and TSH.
Pregynl ALSO has an alpha sub unit identical to LH, FSH, and TSH just like Ovidrel. Pregnyl does not consist of "basically the beta sub-unit."
I have posted links a few times before. From the 'National Library of Medicine' on Pregnyl: "
Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), a polypeptide hormone produced by the human placenta, is composed of an alpha and a beta sub-unit. The alpha sub-unit is essentially identical to the alpha sub-units of the human pituitary gonadotropins, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), as well as to the alpha sub-unit of human thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). The beta sub-units of these hormones differ in amino acid sequence."

now i have another question, might seem stupid, would you follow the same protocol for ovidrel as per hcg, a sub-q shot with a slin pin?? i thik i read somewhere it is more effective as an IM shot, but would the difference even be noticible,?
i ask as iv just had 12 weeks of EOD pins, at a point where im tired of it haha.. and sub-q is quick and easy.. would be great? and i think another niggle in my mind, does it burn like hcg :pinch: ?

Stanabolic wrote: Isn't the sting from pregnyl because its a bit cold from having to keep it refrigerated?
No Its not due to being in the fridge, its got to do with the mixing water, it contains alcohol and that is what burns.... hope this helps. the burn is not so bad. just don't stop injecting until you are done and the pain does not increase it stays constant and only for a while.
later.

SABAX water doesn't contain alcohol, but it still stings?
The stinging is really not so bad and it doesn't concern me at all.

with Ovidrel i go to the chemist to get more Sterile water to add to the Powder vial and the Chemist always gives me
Bacteriostatic Water (bacteriostatic water for injection) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol that is used to dilute or dissolve medications, that is why i thought the burn was due to the alcohol in the water.
sorry if its not related. my bad.
thank you
