Caveat Emptor

Just thought I'd put it out there as a warning. A couple of guys at my gym have fallen sick recently. Seems there are certain unscrupulous characters buying nasty products and relabelling it with the branding of reputable manufacturers. Anyone else heard of this going on? Any advice to newbies on how to avoid becoming similarly hoodwinked?

Sure. There are some guys touting gear labelled up as Quest, PGW and Spectapharm. So I'm just saying be careful. Try to find guys on the board who know the products and can tell a dodgy label. I know that at least one of these manufacturers has changed the label recently to try to sort this out.

You're not seriously expecting me to state the gym I go to are you? Who knows who's reading this website. I also doubt this kind of unwelcome guest is just frequenting my gym that's why I posted it up as a warning. Always check the packaging with someone in the know - someone trustworthy - such as one of the many senior board members here before starting to use your gear especially if you're new to it all.
