No dude! The problem is that when you are under 21 your endocrine system has not fully developed yet, and creatine places quite a bit of strain on your liver and your kidneys. I have a mate who is 17 and really into the gym scene. The dude amazes me every time we gym together. He started using Creatine (against me telling him not to) and now only two months later he had some blood work done and the doctor told him to stop using creatine cause his kidneys are taking heavy strain.

I have read your other posts and I would suggest you finish your mass gainer tub, and then focus on that diet DJ gave you. Trust me dude some of the biggest names in bodybuilding do not even touch a shake. All their efforts go into eating good quality whole foods.

Just a warning. No under 18s are allowed to discuss steroid usage here.

You may discuss supplements though.

Yes and no! Yes if your total nutritional intake is correct. No if your diet is poor

With all these questions you keep asking you could have gained 5kg allready with the diet DJ gave you (for free by the way)

@Deadgoat: Creatine is harsh on the endocrine system and when it is not fully developed yet it could really damage it even permanently. What's not to get?

@VonD: I suppose with atleast 2 litres of water a day and some liver support it should be okay? Thing is I rate that it probably won't affect everybody, but what if you are that tenth person that it messes with and you sustain permanent damage? Just a thought.. I will always tell people to at least wait until they are out of school to start with things like Creatine or DMAA and all that. I know you are still young so your viewpoint should be interesting.

liver/Kidney's do take strain while using creatine temp, that's a fact I know. I spoke to 2 doctors and both said it's really shit for you (well you know docs). You excrete high volumes of creatinine due to supplementing creatine. Now that leads to overworking organs, where you need it to process different things especially protein (high quantity being a bb) Now is this correct? I really like creatine though :)

High protein intake is also bad for your kidneys, even drinking too much water can kill you because of water poisoning.

I would not advise it, your body has not fully developed and that is the starting point of long term damage.

Endocrine system = hormonal system. The only hormone creatine has any effect on is insulin and I've yet to hear of anyone going diabetic because of creatine. You can't extrapolate the advice given about steroids and apply it to supplements buddy

@Admin/00pump surely drinking more water (not dangerous amounts as Admin suggests) will dilute the elevated levels of creatine and protein so that the concentration is still the same as normal to the kidneys? Homeostasis and whatnot

Your kidneys are not designed in a way that more water = better. The glomeruli can become effected over time. Increased water intake effects blood volume so danger with blood vessels and heart. And then you have what Admin said by poisoning were electrolytes are not within the safe limits, and this is caused by overhydration. So Deadgoat, if I was a young guy, i would wait till my body was fully functional before I start putting huge amounts of protein in ones body and/or creatine. The filters in the kidneys can be effects and allow leaking protein into the kidney. Keep it safe kids!

Thanx pump. Is there anything you don't know?

@Deadgoat: I guess I misunderstood what the endocrine system is. I thought it was the system that deals with getting rid of toxins. That's your excretory system then right?

Nope, excretory system involves your intestines, bladder, rectum etc. Lymphatic system is what you're thinking of broseph, but creatine isn't a toxin as we have plenty floating around our bloodstream from the meat we eat.

In tomorrow's lecture we will take a brief look at the reproduction system, till then...

Being in school makes it hard to get your daily protein intake. But carbs are easy ex. Oats, Rice and Potatos...
Protein best bet is to cook some eggs, chicken and get your hands on whey.

Whey is your best bet for a supplement

Bro.

Breakfast:
Oats+Eggs+Beef
Break:
Rice/pasta with chicken
Pre-WO:
Oats raisins honey
Post-WO:
Whey and fruit
Supper:
Rice/Pasta/potatoes with meat

All you have to do is follow a balanced diet. Have carbs in every meal, with protein and healty fats(small amount) and you will grow.

When I was in school that was my staple, EAT! EAT! EAT! when you full, push for more food.

Eventually you will get use to it and become even more hungry. Then add in some shakes (whey, peanutbutter and oats even yoghurt if you have to)

Just be simple about all this and fuck the big supplement hype. Whey and carbs. Thats all you need.

Oh and dont forget rest and training hard!

Lets go!
