Agree with Pyroclasm..:) whey is far superior to soy! Why does he want soy? any specific reasons? what are his goals?

All of you knocking soy, better tell that to derek poundstone....
Some people cant use milk derived proteins, as they are lactose intollerant.

Adding soy to your diet will diversify your protein sources, which is always good in my books.

I am also looking for some soy isolate powder....

I've used their Casein Protein before and didn't find any problems with their quality.

Agreed, there prices are on the high side. Not sure what their pure carbs supplement is retailing for but why don't you get some dextrose (its basically the same thing without the fancy looking packaging) from BSSA ( www.bssa.biz ) or BasicSupplements.co.za instead, i'm sure they'll be cheaper.

Other raw powders (whey, casein, bcaa's, etc) are also not badly priced on those websites, quality is decent imo and, from my experience, delivery times aren't that bad at all.

Did you know that woman use soy protein post menopause to increase estrogen levels in their body? I don't think I'll be using soy protein.....EVER!

If you want to build muscle stay the hell away from it.

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

That's only the one that uses the isoflavone the others don't cause estrogen levels to increase...

I don't take note of half of this crap anyway cos awhile back there were thousands of articles saying that soy produts were increasing estrogen thus causing men to become homosexuals, as far as I know I'm still straight hahahaha

The big opinion in the fitness/ body-building. But considering lactose intolerance and ladies I think there is a definite place for Soy Isolate products. Guys are really quick to bash soy, but consider you are on cycle and taking estrogen inhibitors or estrogen blockers - do you think soy will lessen your gains/ make you grow tits? If you do then you must think broccoli and oysters will make your balls fuller and deepen your voice.

I know the protein bio-availability and biological value (100+ whey vs. +/-1 soy iso) is a compelling arguement, but for a different and clean source of protein it does a good job considering it's plant.

If you are lactose intolerant then use Whey Isolate. I.m.o one guy doing well on a product doesn't mean anything. How many pros use whey protein??!

@ Pyro,

If you are lactose intolerant then yes whey isolate will help but dairly allergies are commonly misdiagnosed as lactose intolerance and therefore even by using whey isolate your body will react to the dairy derivatives and still cause issues..

Didn't know that thanx bud. In that case use the whey isolate, if you still feel shit then you know it's probably a dairy allergy.
