Some advice with supplements. was created by Witwolf
I train natty and was wondering what supplements are worth investing in every month. I've used Tribulus in the past and the only real effect I could feel was increased sex-drive and possibly an overall better mood (what are your opinions on something like the USN Testo-Tribulus; goes for R149). I've used Monohydrate, then went onto HCL, and now I'm back on Monohydrate. HCL gave me some hectic heartburn even when taking with food, so I'm not really interested in buying that again. Mono gives me the most ridiculous pumps which I love and also some strength increases. Otherwise I guess BCAAs and L-Glutamine and Whey?

I've seen some USN Test product that goes for around R500 (test booster + estrogen blocker) would it be worth investing in something like that? (note I am a student so budget is tight). Mabey if you guys can advise me on a supplement stack + vitamins I can budget for that for every 1st of the month. I usually try and stay on top of my diet first, If there's money left I look at supps.

Generally I would stick to the following,

Whey
Glutamine
Bcaa
Creatine
Multivitamin
Omegas

:)

Pretty much my monthly stack, I also use a pre workout 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off

Everything else like test boosters etc are just a big marketing scam in my opinion ....

Agree with the Whey, Creatine, Multivit and Omega3. I also use casein before bed time which works great considering I do IF so only eat my first meal at 1pm/2pm.

I haven't seen much difference in recovery with Glutamine but I know guys who swear by it. BCAA's isn't really needed if u get some protein (whole food) in at least 3 hours (30mins to hours for a protein shake) before you workout because you have BCAA's in your system from the protein already..if you don't, BCAA's pre and intra workout helps a lot!

Just depends, what other resources are available in your area?

Xtreme nutrition is also decent and they beat any price (my experience with them) but they focus on more of the imported things,

My best bet is my local supp shop at gym, get a nice little discount, so it's dirt cheap haha,

dischem is only ever good for one month a year, healthy living haha ....

I'm in Pretoria. I only really know of Dischem and Springbok pharmacy (online and they deliver but same prices). How much do you guys spend on your monthly vitamin + supplement stack?
