expired supps good to go

hey guys

so last night my buddy and myself were given three boxloads of expired supplements from a good friend of ours who runs a supplemenet company. All of the goods were sealed but as i stated, past their expiry date. please find below a list of what we got we basicaly got. We split the goods half, half.

4x Nitrotech hardcore - expired oct 2008
4x Eas maxmilk - expired december 2008
6x Gaspari nutriton size on june 2008
10X EAS omega 3 and 6 supplenets Expired in november 2007
8Xboxes of EAS advance edge protein bars with 25 bars per box - expired in 2006
And a multitude of fat burners, lipo 6, hot rox and hydroxycut hardcore - all expired some time last year

Are there any products in the list which i cant use because of their expiry dates?

I would say dont use any of them,2006,2007.2008.Its risky.I would not take the chance.

I have taken expired supps and they were fine, as long as they were stored in a cool, dry pace its fine.

They will still be fine, just the doses will be lower due to degradation of compounds and half lives will be reduced

Anything with artificial sweeteners will be affected. These sweeteners have short shelf lives and decompose, it won't harm you, it just won't be as sweet anymore. Try eating expired sugar-free gum, it tastes bland.

Other products will form clumps or become a solid mass.

If it looks funny, smells funny, tastes funny, don't laugh at it, just don't take it.


IMO go for the protein shakes, see I the thermogemics are still potent, and avoid the pre-workout supps, protein bars and omega oils.

It it looks fine when opened chances are its fine. If moisture has gotten into the powders or caps, or the gels were too warm, then they will be risky, but otherwise they are good to go.
