Egg white protein > real egg whites? was created by silent4now
Ok...so I'm really getting tired of boiling six eggs every bloody morning to eat with my oats...will egg white protein suffice?

I can get 1kg for R230ish and it contains 20g protein (six large eggs) per 25g serving...so that works out to R5.75 per day instead of R11 I'm paying atm...and I'm saving 30mins of prep...

I want to get the powder (chocolate) and just mix with my oats?

While on the subject, anyone use the whey from basicsupps?

Just curious to what unflavoured whey tastes like? People tell me it tastes like off-milk :X

Ask LSJ about his flavourants-he's got some potent flavourants

Tastes like cremora. Not bad-you get used to it, but as I say ask LSJ about his flavourants.

What brand of egg white protein are you talking about?

You'll have to ask him, not selling yet, but I think he's still doing market testing.
Careful with it though-you literally use the tip of a knife per shake

Haven't seen it or tried it to be honest. Just have to be careful what they put in it for flavourant.
DJ would be the best person to ask

I've got a sample of egg white powder few days ago. Must say it's not the best tasting powder ever but its not horrible. Specs are quite good - 80%protein, less than 1% fat so 20grams is roughly 5big egg whites.

Price is also not that bad but its more expensive than Whey. Just be carefull with what is added to flavour it since it does have a sharp taste.

With regards to whey flavours - I did get some in, some guys loved it - other hates it. I've gotten hold of a company that does Whey flavouring (they wont say for who) so I'm sure it will be available shortly.

@ Silent4now - I'll have some 330gram sample packs Whey for sale in the next week. So try one see what you think - if you're not a mg carb counter get some Squillos (SPAR milk mix brand) and flavour the whey - taste really good

Is it just pure egg white powder? Sounds interesting, are you planning on stocking it, or going to run some tests and marketing first?

I would use it in the place of my freaking eggs I eat every day. I'd rather mix that into my oats than eat another egg white.

probably absorbed slower than whey, that's the only benefit really but if you are having oats then whey with oats should be fine

I get you on that - I'm thinking of bringing out a book "500 ways to get eggs in"

I still got about 75grams of the stuff left so the first three guys to drop me a mail can get a serving each free of charge in exchange for some feedback. :)

PS - you must have bought from me before :P

Beat me to the punch.
The prep of egg whites is a bitch for us lazy bastards-powder is easier, as bad as it tastes :)

Question.... Would having Egg Protein powder (Evox) be a good idea before gym in the mornings or after???
I train EARLY in the mornings... so, am currently having:

Pre-Workout:
3 x EFA's, 2 x ZMA, Sometimes 1 x Heat
70g Oats
1 Banana

Then Creapump on my way to gym

Post Workout:
40g Whey with 50g Dextrose
5g L-Glutamine and 5g Creatine
Then 70g Oats about 20 minutes later

I would fit the Egg Protein in with what i am currently having.

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

I can start a new topic for that??
But that is why i was asking about the egg protein before gym or after? When is best?
My thought was that protein was really only needed after gym, to repair muscle. Carbs was needed before gym for energy? As i gym first thing in the morning (6am).
*The protein in the oats???*

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

if you decide on the egg protein, take it before training. you need protein before training. whey is best for post wo coz it gets absorbed quicker. your post wo looks good, can just maybe wait another 10min before taking the oats.

If you want decent Egg White Protien products you can contact
BSNSA (Body Sculpture Nutrition SA) and speak to Gaven Smith.

He is the owner and all his product is made from it. Guys like Hennie Kotze are using it and loving it. He even has frozen liquid egg whites so no more cracking eggs in the morning. Also no more bloated stomachs because of cheap whey.

Website: www.bsnsa.mobi/wmenu.php

and his number is 0790864285 (File Removed)
