Serious thinking about future cycling was created by PumpSeeker
Hi guys, I don't wanna seem/sound retarded on this but here goes...
I'm a natty teen that's been training since around mid-2012 and now really thinking about my first cycle and no not right now as I would like to take advantage of natural hormones. I was just wanting to know how it changed ur guys' lives and how u started and experiences. A plain test cycle best to start off, but around what age seems fine? Cause if I started in say 2018, that's a good 6 years old lifting experience. I know different people react differently to anabolics but my dad took dbol, deca, winstrol and var back in the day and didn't have much sides (even had me 10 years post cycling).
Really appreciate any input here guys as I'm seriously making a decision that can affect me the rest of my life possibly and must be fully informed before ddeciding, Thanks again.

First off, you will find all kinds of distractions happen along the way.
These will derail your training.
Girls
Breakups
Moving out of home

Never mind other sports or hobbies.

I found these things moved in cycles of 3 - 5 years.
and despite all of them, I've always come back to working out, but often with different goals.

As to how using AAS will affect you:
It is a selfish pursuit and causes stress with anyone or anything that gets in the way of maintaining your diet & training - Parents, siblings, friends, everyone.
God help anyone with flu who dares cough/sneeze near you when you are pushing hard on all fronts to reach a goal. If you let it, it will fuckup a lot of good things and cause you to loose or miss-out on many opportunities.

It will cost you a lot of money & if done wrong, it will cos your health too.
With that in mind, there is no money in being a bodybuilder.
However, there are careers in being a trainer, biokineticist, physio, etc.

This is where focus & maturity will allow you to focus on achieving what's important i.e. travel, degree, career, wife & family.

If you can balance these priorities while still bodybuilding and its a positive for you and those around you, you are seriously winning.

As for cycles, keep it sane & conservative.
Become well educated on what you're doing, be it training, nutrition or gear.
I think most here made a hash of things with our first cycles, cos we had no proper info, were young and dumb. With the net, you have no excuse to screw the pooch or roll with broscience or what some built dude in the gym tells you.

Oupiel deserves 2 thumbs up for the reply.

How old will you be in 2018 Pumpseeker? Max your natty limit, then if you're still hungry, wait till 25. (all my opinion)

You won't believe how many people jump on the juice without even knowing what PCT means. Their big friend at the gym obviously knows what he is doing and YOLO. They don't realise that dude at 21 years of age has screwed up his HPTA so bad he needs HRT for the rest of his life. You have a much better mentality!

Thanks for that insight oupiel! Would u guys say it's a life long commitment? Cause I've heard that u lose gains regardless of PCT, etc. Would u probably need HRT following steroid use or is it only if u overdo it? Like for example i assume simeon panda, ullises jr, jaco de bruyn are on quite a lot of gear so would they probably need HRT? Regarding other areas, I don't usually allow them to interfere with my lifting as I'm always committed to sticking with it regardless.

@furk I'll be 21

Your right about those body builders (coincidence they are 3 of my top favourite physiques). 21 is too young. My standard recommended age is 25 - if your serious and want to get in early. Holding out till later is perfectly fine.

Physique guys like the ones you mention are generally on more gear than most Body builders! with them being lean year round means they never come off but choose some form of blast and cruise.
They've accepted the fact that they'll be on TRT for the rest of there lives and wether they like it or not that has consequences.

Go big or go home...

So if for example Jaco or Simeon were to stop cycling for good tomorrow, they'd need TRT and very quickly go back to an average persons physique? What about the use of HGH, IGF etc? Those gains would theoretically be more sustainable and then you wouldn't require TRT?

GH is awesome, but not going to do much for your physique without anabolics. Also have sides of their own. Yes they will shrink to their natural limits.

Their physiques will probably be much better than average but nothing quite like what you see today. These guys are running a lot of gear, trust me, I trained with some of them!

@ Pumpseeker : what are your goals? Or why are you interested in using gear? Recreational physique enhancement or will it add worth to your career? Modeling etc.

@furk- to enhance my physique past my natural limit and compete, similarly to what jaco or simeon do but maybe not to that extreme

Bud your jumping the gun. You need to grow your physique as much as you can naturally and then have an honest assessment of yourself to see if you even have the genetics for physique.
Genetics are probably more important in physique than Body building as its all about aesthetics.

@rhino Ya I don't plan to start using very soon as I wanna take advantage of naturally high hormone levels and max genetic limit first.

After an enormous amount of thought I've decided to start, but only once I've reached my max genetic potential at around 23-25. So still another 5-7 years of natty gains  B)

So... 2 years later and I'm back on the fence. I go through periods every now and then where I reconsider steroid use and sleep on it and the feeling fades. But for the last week or 2, the itch has been INTENSE! I'm getting really frustrated with this indecisiveness eating away at me.

I've usually been able to manage the urge to start by thinking "well I'll show these mutherf#ckers that I can achieve a good physique naturally". But now that I've built my knowledge of not only diet and training, but now anabolics as well (not that I know everything lol). I've also started organising the stuff for people so I'm constantly surrounded by it and I have EASY access so I've come as close as I ever have come to just starting. I now think to myself "well if I started I could take it to the next level and look insane". And I'm dedicated and live that lifestyle to the max... looking to compete in Men's Physique in next few years. I'm not that guy that wants to use anabolics just to look cool in the gym for girls or to show off. Fitness/Bodybuilding has been a primary cog in my life for some time now and I'm beginning to feel that the itch is getting too great for me not to finally scratch.

Post a pic of your physique as you are now. The gurus on here will tell you quickly whether you have the genetic potential or not.

If you don't have the genes, you can train as hard and as much as you want but you'll never get to that level.

Not what you want to hear, but it is the truth.

As Rhino said, gentics play THE most important determining factor in physique category. Every 2nd youngster at gym has this dream of being the next Jaco de Bruyn. So you have to be special, nay EXCEPTIONAL, to even think of standing in a line up with those guys. Then add the FULL time commitment of training and eating. Which basically means no social life as you cannot afford any distractions or derailments.

Make sure you have something to fall back on. And no, a career as a PT isn't that easy either. Some gymns have more PT's than members... and it's a cut throat business.

Good judgement comes from experience.
Experience comes from bad judgement.

Hi Buddy.

What do you look like now?
Also give us some stats like weight and height. We know you are 20 now.

Why not look into MK677 and GW 501516 do a nice long run of each. Tell yourself you are on Performance Enhancing Drugs. The mind is a powerful thing.

But like I said give photos of what you look like now and stats

It is on you. It always has been...

Hey Rooi Bul,
I have already put up pictures(hopefully you can see them), I'm currently 1.8-1.83cm and 71kg.

I'm starting to think that i was able to gain 16kg of pretty lean tissue last year so maybe i should try to get to 80kg by the end of this year and go from there. But I'd still be keen to get your guys' opinions regarding my current physique to have some insight as to if I have any potential for physique division.
Thanks

@Pumpseeker I'm also considering Mens Physique in the near future. Our stats are a bit different though,I'm 71kg at 1.68m. If I can give you some advice, hit delts, tri's, lats and chest hard because those are the things that create the illusion of a great V taper. Google Jeremy Potvin, you won't believe his shoulder to waist ratio.
