Point i am trying to make is that AAS will make you grow if you train. Even with a shit diet and shit lifestyle. You might kill yourself and your liver but you will grow.
At that age anyway. I find it a bit harder to gain weight nowadays.
Obviously it will make you grow. But am I incorrect in bringing diet in as a point of importance? So if he gets 25grams of protein a day, it will make no difference compared to what he'd gain on a proper diet?
No Bud, you get me wrong. You are right. Proper diet will bring the best results, but to say that EVERYTHING depends on a diet and the only way to grow is to eat a 3600cal diet is also not correct IMO.
What about Francis Benefatto's article in ME this month where he suggests that a 2000Cal diet is enough to grow?
I Believe that. I just get fat with a 3600cal diet.
I have cut my calories and changed my training technique in the last 3 weeks and already can see a difference.

hence the reason i dont start diets to high in calories,i like to start calories low and adjust during the weeks.
guys can i tell u something about francis technique? if u dont have him showing u what to do u are going to be so fucking lost. i am quite friendly with one of the ssn guys and he started doing that technique for a bout 4 weeks before meeting francis on what he thought was right,he then trained with francis and do u know that francis changed everything that he was doing cos it wasnt right.honestly the average person is not going to get it right.... i am not 100% sure about putting on mass at 2000 calories but if u are the same weight as francis then u can maybe. lets look at it this way,if u are 70kgs and your body only need 1675 caloires to maintain normal body functions then yes u can still grow, that combined with 0 cardio and not expending any aditional calories unless during weight training then yes u can grow cos u will still have 325 calories in addition...also did u see francis life style? he trains 3 times a day for an hour or so,of which the muscle he is training is under constant tension for 45mins or so...he trains 7 days a week and he also sleeps for over 8 hours and still has an hours nap in the afternoon, this means he is awake for maybe 14 hours a day vs everyone else who is awake for 16-18hours a day....that will all effect your ability to grow on 2000caloires,if u have a full time job, high stress levels,a long day with less sleep than normal well that changes everything, the less time u are awake the less energy u expend...u will make improvements if u train like him,eat like him,and live like him. otherwise i dont think that those things are gonna happen...
