I am gonna assume you meant Horlicks. I am pretty sure it´s the sugar that makes you sleepy more than the calcium. Try eating a packet of gummi worms instead and see if it has the same effect.
For the lentils I think they are great, I would just get more variety. Sweet potatoes will add a broader spectrum of nutrients to focus on. Lentils might be great at nutrients A B and C but sweet potatoes will do D better, and therefore you will fuel your body with a wider range of nutrients. Lentils do not contain all the nutirents and in excess. Neh
P.S: A noble profession! Hats off to you sir. What type of Engineer?

I know I am carb sensitive and the insulin production from the spike in sugar make me drowsy , trust me I know this as I have been cursed with a bad bad sweet tooth, I am one of those guys if I open a box of cookies I have to fifnsh it I cannot put it back in the cupboard and the same goes for any type of desert specially ultramel custard so I try not stock this in the house because if it’s there I know I am going to devour it no question, I have no craving for nay salty things though Like a bag of chips or biltong can stand in the cupboard for weeks and I am fine with it. Si in the week I try keep on the straight and narrow but on the weekends when I am with my friends and my family I do fall off the bus but hey that is life you train hard and keep the diet clean in the week and then on the weekend you allow yourself a bit of leeway it’s a good balance when I used to compete this was not the case and it was body building 24/7 and it took its toll on the people I cared about and loved in my life so now I am happy with the balance I have found and I am not looking to compete again I just do it for myself now.
Something I do have a question about that I was hoping you could help me out with, every time I finish a meal of mine I like to have a good cup of coffee after It If I don’t I don’t feel full and I feel like I need to eat another meal the size of the one I had just finished now I know coffee isn’t any good for you but I have been doing this for 20 years already and have never had any health problems with it , but if I am on my course will this still be okay to do?
I know people say have a glass of water with your food but really what is the difference it all goes to your stomach anyway and mixed up there so if its coffee or water does it make a difference ? I suppose I could do the water if I forced myself but I really just hate drinking normal water, my fluid intake for the day is around 6 to 7l of fluid but only about 2l of that is plan water and I can only drink that when I train everything else is eighth coffee or diet cool drinks.
PS I don’t drink alcohol at all either just find I don’t like it and it does nothing for me I would rather have a good cappuccino or Milo.

It´s like speaking to an older version of myself! For me the worst is woolworths custard and they have this chocolate sponge cake... *starts foaming at the mouth* Good that you allow yourself to cheat on the weekends but careful not to undo all the progress of the week. You can do double the damage in the two and a half days of the weekend than you can do good during the week. Don´t just hang out with your wang out and forget about what is important.
You can have your cup of coffee after the meal no problem. You seem to be filling your body with a lot of toxins. The diet cool drinks and such are made of water but they come with many other nasty things. Try to limit this intake. You should aim at getting in 4L of clean water per day. Not negotiable. You can add some fresh lemon or strawberries or cucumber or peaches to the water if you don´t like the taste of normal water. Even a little bit of stevia once in a while. I think I do not need to list the benefits of drinking water you are not a fool.
vvictor wrote: With my shot I will be taking it will be a 2ml shot every Monday in the left quad and Thursday in the right quad as advised by the guys in this site 1ml test and 1 ml equpoise using a 2.5ml syringe and a black 23 gauge needle now I know that the tempo you inject at also has a big effect of the pain from the shot bearing in mind this a 2ml at what rate should I inject at? What I mean by this is as I am pushing the plunger down how long should it take for me to inject the 2ml liquid into my quad 10 seconds 20 seconds? I want to get a few syringes before I start my course and just practice injecting and orange with cooking oil my friend is a nurse and she told me this would be about the best practice I would get before I started to take the shots myself.
Had to read that three times cause I missed the part about the orange and thought she told you to inject cooking oil into your quad. I generally don´t encourage that. The best way to practice is to get yourself some vitamin B12 and inject that into your quad. Rule of thumb I use is every ml should take 30 seconds to inject. If you inject slower no problem.
